I do find it hilarious that you are the calm, sensible one in these matters... DT sometimes gets into some odd predicaments along the way.

On mine we added an aftermarket real-time coolant temp gauge plus input and output temps for the transmission cooler... and a separate Arguing based temp sense and fan control override when we went dual e-fan.

they are also very slow to respond... some sort of filtering on the gauge. Even on the swapped 80 the gauge reads low-and-sluggish
