they should’ve gone full grave digger with the porsche and done donuts until parts came off

I want to build an exocet, then hit flyin miata for performance mods and their offroad lift kit. It’ll be like driving one of those late 80's early 90's remote control cars from radio shack, but without the 5 minute battery life haha

first aid

I get you - kinda like an older vette where someone ordered a questionable bodykit from jcwhitney or something.

What does a new wrangler really do that a late 80's early 90's one can’t?

Every old v12 jag has been an absolute joy to drive for roughly 20 minutes after they were repaired.

Has anyone driven an auto? I’m on the tail end of 5 arm surgeries and am essentially one handed, have to stop driving a stick. I’ve been sitting on my Fiesta ST daily driver all through covid since I work remotely anyways but I have the itch to drive something fun and driving the FiST isn’t worth the couple of days of

i love seeing rice rockets doin’ the spring chop hop

CARB is a bunch of great intentions, but jesus the actual enforcement is a total shitshow. Can’t use an aftermarket cat when yours gets stolen, can’t replace a cracked intake hose with an aftermarket one unless it’s CARB certified, can’t install a larger intercooler (though there is zero emissions impact from it).

It was neat.... to see someone else drive it :P

What about california summer blend electrons

Ha did you ever drive one, out of curiosity? It was a pretty terrible ride. A friend had one and it was frustratingly (and sometimes dangerously) slow unless you had that weird brain quirk that made fuel economy your whole life. He was like that - I was not.

Those things are gonna look so cool sitting on tow trucks and waiting in service lots for parts.

Wrong

for a while it felt like he was following a steve jobs type arc, where he was going to keep rising and then go nuttier than a squirrel turd and be tossed out, learn some stuff while away and come back to bring it all home. But now... dude’s just gross lol.

:looks at history of fun FCA vehicles that have been successfully lemon lawed:

It pretty much comes down to character, a type of rough barely contained character that’s common in Italian cars and some others, usually not quite there in Japanese and German cars. They noisy, playful, there’s the “will it start today or will I need to drive one of my other cars?” lack of certainty. It doesn’t

Yeah I know it’s unlikely, realistically Toyota will probably look at the Z pricing and guess they can charge more lol.

tbh i just hope the z’s existence pushes the ‘86 prices down :P
