The high gas prices got my wife to ok buying a couple Honda Groms so that was kinda awesome but its ok if prices come back down now.

Carplay is nice because its the same in every car. Apple is just better at UI design in general, but it’s been a core company priority since their GUI was their original core differentiator. Carplay’s also more extensible via a huge third party app ecosystem.

Tesla refusing to provide Apple Carplay is chasing away more people than they’d care to admit, too. Sure they have a neat center stack but nobody touches Apple’s UI/UX. Just let people listen to music how they want.

A lot of the impounded cars probably aren’t CA street legal to begin with, so just crush them. No point in paying to store them, then have to pay to auction off stuff that isn’t road legal and will probably wind up participating in another future “event”. Crush and move on.

The prior gen were going for $49/month lease around here - that was an absolutely absurd deal, but that range... I couldn’t go anywhere and be confident about making it back, especially with the air conditioning on (over 100f a big chunk of the year)
