Gotta admit, when we finally saw the super scary monsters I was pretty let down. They’re so similar to every other modern movie alien monster thing. The way they played it up “why don’t we get to see what they look like?” had me really hoping for some sort of neat, new style of movie alien monster.

Eh a lot of people just wait out the year until the game is on steam, on sale, on a store that works.

Ugh so many people throw the betas onto the devices they rely on and then prattle on endlessly about how “bad” it is and how many problems they have. It’s a BETA.

For real. Been doing the worker’s comp dance for going on 7 years now and the doctor they send me to tends to run 2.5-3 hours behind, but if I am not there *at* my appointment time, they cancel me and its a $75 fee. He’s gotten even further behind now that all the appointments are on the phone. Doesn’t even do

How is it legal to hand “anonymous” voter records to a third party company that could easily leak your data, so if you voted in a way they don’t like they (or their followers) could seek you out?

I *was* doing this, but several doctors offices use an autodialing company to make/confirm appointments and that autodialing company shows up as “probably spam” :|

It’s pretty awsome. I had one living inside my PC case inside the clear window with system stats from aida64 lol - was kinda neat to just look at the computer and see its temperatures, cpu utilization and stuff. Started off as a joke to mess with a friend whom was a big time super RGB gamer guy but wound up pretty

I haven’t even logged into robinhood since they started selling bitcoin and I bought a bunch - do they finally have a way to transfer to another exchange or a hardware wallet yet, or is selling the only way to get it out of Robinhood?

I have been laughing at “I was like, ‘I’m just going to do a light salad dressing drizzle around her nun’s [cloth headdress],’” for entirely too long now. It’s a somber article about a shit time but that sentence is gold.

Yeah absolutely, the amazon app store is by far the weakest part of the fire tablets :|

Eew - doing this but forcing it to go through Amazon’s app store is like saying “you get free unlimited chocolate candy for the rest of your life! but it’s 10 year old tootsie rolls and you’re now severely diabetic, have fun!”. There’s a reason people root their Fire tablets and it’s not because the hardware is great.

Stranger things would’ve been amazing as a single season series, but I suspect we’re going to have to watch it decline and decline like every other show that gets stretched out :|

It’s honestly pretty terrible. God rays are still incredibly intrusive, and the peripheral blurriness is pretty off-putting. At this point all I *really* use the Quest for (for work) is if I leave a long operation running on my computer - I can virtual desktop to my computer or a VM from a couple floors away and see

People frequently extoll the virtues of how secure and stable iOS is - there’s a reason for that, which is the walled garden. The greatest strength of the platform is what people are trying to dismantle. There is also the part most consumers are not familiar with - the DEP/MDM/VPP framework for enterprise level

Fiat 500 Abarth - you’ll look for reasons to go for a drive!

But if we stop all the big propellers, the world will stop spinning and all the people will fall off :(

hey tens of people enjoy the avengers game

the last couple rounds of windows updates have been pretty awful.

Owned a couple of VW golfs and rabbits (mk5 and mk6) and when you fold down the rear seats, there are little notches to clip the rear deck/hatch cover thingy to create a divider between the cargo area and the driver/passenger seats. Not a huge thing, but I always thought it was a nice detail and it was super handy

It does though, if the potential sales volume of something is super low, then why bother engineering it?
