It’s not compulsory employment though, people are choosing to do it.

But they *choose* to keep tapping that feeder button. What uber, lyft, etc. do only works because people keep working for them. If it was truly that bad wouldn’t they stop? People seem to want the perks of gig employment but want to escape the negatives. Just stop doing it, the labor pool dries up, then they’ll have…
If they aren’t happy with the terms of the employment, why don’t they... not do it?
If the driver don’t like it, couldn’t they just... not do it though? Nobody is making you Uber. It originated as a way to make a little extra cash during downtime - it’s the drivers trying to make it something it isn’t.
That is stupid. If someone wants to make balloon animals in the park for tips, is it suddenly society’s responsibility to make sure they can live off of the income from said balloon animal activities? *any* is pretty nebulous. Doordash, uber, etc. were never advertised to drivers as full time employment, they’ve…
I just do not get people that tip shitty and won’t even meet the delivery driver outside :| I figure if I am being lazy I can at least walk out to the street so they don’t have to find parking and/or climb stairs and stuff. I would feel shattered if a delivery driver got a ticket while delivering a burrito to me. I’m…
Isn’t this more of an issue of people taking something that was intended to be an intermittent “gig job” and treating it as full time employment though? I’ve never done uber/doordash/etc. but I remember the business’ original pitches of “make a little extra money in your spare time” - but it seems like a lot of the…
Historically I’m a heavy tipper, especially with doordash... but over the last couple months the instances of things being cold, smashed, missing items (drinks especially), or delivery drivers that either cannot follow directions (select my name in directory to call me and I can open the gate for you) or... can’t…
If it’s just text, why a slideshow? Just wondering.
OOH what about a subaru brat? ;)
A smart car that shifted like a VW DSG would be amazing :P
what about the isuzu poop (pup), vw caddy, chevy luv?
I think I was born in the wrong country :P
Yeah I don’t want lifted, just a general “go to home depot and get paint and 2x4's” lil’ truck. Preferably with a radio and air conditioning, might spring extra for the tachometer this time.
I guess tiny is relative - I wish we could still get trucks the size of the little 90's toyotas, those were perfect. Easy to park in a normal garage or apartment-sized parking spot, still able to carry a bunch of stuff.
If only they could bring back the R32's exhaust sound... :P
Anyone else only git billed for HBO Max intermittently? I’ll get billed oce or twice, then not for a few months, etc. Just wondering.

I’ve actually just installed Steam on a bunch of VM’s set up on a virtualization server with Nvidia quadro GPU’s in it so our IT staff could play games together during staff meetings :P

I can’t tell if I love hating the trim, or hate loving it.
lol usually not these days, its all by packages. Want xenon lights? Need the 3000 dollar “able to see at night + premium audio + heated cupholders + cooled seats” package.
