You’re totally entitled to disagree - I just would like to see a non portable option, when it’s not limited by the need to be un-dockable and able to run off a battery.

I’d just prefer to have the option. I simply don’t care to be forced to buy a portable device when a stationary one could do the job better. Does the switch still warp if you use it docked 100% of the time? Last time I thought about buying that was still a thing.
 I trend toward books, myself. I’m not saying they’re totally pointless, but I don’t see the point of forcing me to buy a portable game system when it’ll be docked 100% of the time.
That’s cool, so you’re part of the demographic that cares about it being undockable. If they made a console-only version for 100 bucks less I know a few people that would jump in. I almost bought a switch, but (at least for a while) there were so many reports of always-docked switches warping from heat that I just…
Oh I acknowledge it, I just think there’s an underserved demographic that Nintendo is ignoring. Breath of the wild runs fine on my HTPC, but I’d rather pay Nintendo for a console device that makes things a little smoother. I think the mini switch will replace the 3ds, and if it’s popular enough maybe we’ll get a real…
Some people really need attention.
I am ok with this.
I did read it, it’s still a stupid clickbait title.
I would just like a Switch that isn’t portable. Just give me a firetv sized device to play Zelda on and I’ll buy one. I don’t see the point of buying a portable tablet device to always sit on the dock. I am an adult, I don’t need to take a game console around with me, I just want to play a few games on the couch after…
Yeah I still forget that clickbait is easier than substantive content.
Understood, I simply took umbrage with “leech”, as it implies exploitation of a resource. A lot of people reading the article are likely trying to grab wifi without permission.
Leeching someone else’s wifi without permissions is illegal in the US. Do not do it. As an aside, some people leave open SSID’s specifically to capture other people’s traffic.
There is a difference between signal *strength* and signal *quality* - also, your device could initially be reporting the strength of a 2.4ghz signal but there might be a 5ghz radio in the access point(s) using the same SSID. Some access points support band steering to push 5ghz capable devices to that band, as…
Thanks for taking the time to reply! I figure if I have girls I’ll just teach them stuff I know and let my wife teach them stuff she knows and we’ll even out somewhere in the middle. When we first started dating I discovered my wife couldn’t change a tire or do lots of stuff, her dad didn’t bother to teach her…
How long do we think Disney will wait to reboot avengers?
In case I wind up having a daughter - are there any places during upbringing you think specifically steered you in a direction that led to you becoming uncomfortable with negotiating? I can think about it to myself, but I don’t think any parent specifically raises their kid to be passive, so... any thoughts? You don’t…
Thats why they said no - you essentially asked “Can I talk you into paying me more than you are offering?”. Instead, next time, try making an actual counteroffer - shoot above what you want, because it’s a negotiation. Once the money is settled, or if they won’t budge, try to get a gym membership, or an extra week of…
Over the course of many many years I have only experienced two women attempting to negotiate salary after the offer is made - any idea why? Maybe half the male applicants push on salary, then when the salary discussion is over they push for extra vacation and perks. The women just don’t do that - I’m legitimately…
Yeah it’s not hard to pull ahead when all the R&D is done by someone else on their tab.
