For a factory that is supposedly producing nothing Foxconn has poured gobs of money into making it a beautiful business campus ... and there are constant ads for software engineers to fill positions there.

As dangerous as this is, the results may wind up sparing thousands.
If you actually read any scientific literature instead of whatever crazy twitter using "journalist" says. Maybe you would understand why masks are useless and cause more harm than good.
Please stop. I don’t care if you wear a mask or not. I’m not going to. Promote the contact tracing apps if you want to actually help. Get more states to implement it in their state. That is the ONLY way we’re going to slow this thing down. Masks have not been proven to do that. Nor have the lockdowns. Nor has social…

Will Apple reduce the cost accordingly?
They’ll increase the cost because those parts of their assembly lines need to be reconfigured to count and sort all the additional cash they are bringing in on their new phones.
So the question is... ‘Will Apple reduce the cost accordingly?’ And the answer is... of course they won’t. They’re Apple.
All Consumers: Bring back 3.5mm headphone jacks.
Surely apple will reduce the costs by the $50 for the brick and headphones though, right?
Discriminating based on race is indeed illegal.

British royals should stay out of American electoral politics. Period, end of story. It’s crazy that we even need to say that. It’s a self-evident truth. Think of the brave American patriots who fought the Revolutionary War. How would they feel about American presidential candidates accepting endorsements from British…
It almost seems like somebody put that order through just to prove the fallibility of this pay system...
My thought exactly. This is the country that outlawed measuring PM 2.5 until 2018 just to make their numbers look good. Even though there was so much pollution one could not see the sky, they claimed there was very little and held up a PM 10 measuring device.
Hate to break it to you but China is no better than we are when it comes to keeping promises. I’ll believe it when I see it. As DNAPL pointed out, they have a ton of coal power plants on order. That’s not “promising” behavior. That’s moving in the wrong direction whereas we’re at least decommissioning coal plants and…
How much salt to go along with the pledge?
Anyone who believes China on this is in for one hell of a surprise.
I have no doubt energy efficiency is a part of this but it seems like the larger issue here is simply that rich people have more disposable income. They pay less, as a portion of their wealth, for probably ALL necessities because their wealth is completely out of proportion to their needs.
As others have noted, the headline is flat out false.
With that said, they pay a much higher proportion of their income than non-economically disadvantaged people. There appear to be several reasons for this. Their domiciles are less energy efficient for one, energy costs tend to be the same no matter who you are…
