Outside of certain sites selling things that have an inherently limited quantity (can’t name them because it gets my comment flagged for spam), I haven’t seen an ecommerce site that reduces available stock until after you actually complete your purchase.

Now I should have prefaced my post by saying that I disagree with mandated back doors. I believe that those are a bad idea as if a backdoor exists it can be used maliciously.
