He knows the real trick is getting to the Super Bowl
Have you considered just making your own shows? There’s a great Talking Heads song that describes this. But, basically, we’re like grown adults still sucking at mommy’s teet. Independent adults know how to get their own milk. Ergo, let’s leave these perverted purveyors behind.
Wait, so are you telling me that there are exceptions, now? Goddam and here I thought everything in life was plain as day, categorically straightforward and words like vague and and unclear were just liberal, atheistic mindfucks inserted into our lexicon in order to muddy the waters. My rude reaction aside, I totally…
Isn’t there some sort of surface they could put down making it really hard to drift? Just asking for a friend
This is how the world ends. Not with a bang but with a whimper.
The smelliest of farts from the faintest of sounds are often borne...
So, Prince was bi-ish, and got into strange symbolic and spiritual stuff and I wonder how much that hurt him with a black audience that was anti-gay and predominately Christian?
Also, while Prince had his moment, he didn’t play along with the in-culture’s (white culture) rules, and so they jettisoned him. You know he…
To be fair, jazz guitarists are going to be better than pop guitarists no matter what. There’s just so much more technique and knowledge that goes into playing that music. Of course the timbres and showmanship in pop/rock are hard to beat. If you’re factoring that in then Clapton deserves some praise, however faint.
I mean, Derek and the Dominoes is a great record. But he, like Carmelo Anthony, shines brightest when around other great talents. On his own he is kind of a boring turd. His life just doesn’t generate artistically interesting experiences, and his artistic ‘voice’ sounds best when singing another’s story. Just my…
Clapton was an amazing guitarist that everyone copied to the point that he sounds less amazing. He also copied copied copied from black artists. The copying wasn’t racist and it wasn’t what made Clapton great. Those black artists also copied people, too. People on record, people in their neighborhoods, people that…
“It’s objectively funny.” No, it’s fucking pathetic, sometimes. I hate that show. Unless I’m in a weird mood when I can watch it. But that’s like, a mental blackout. I wake up and the tv has the Office credits rolling and I’m like “what happened? WHy is this on?” But, seriously, when people tell me they’re rewatching…
It’s hilarious to me how his references went from spot on to dated almost overnight.
Maybe there’s some recurrence of the medical stuff that dogged him on Europe. I guess they fixed it through diet and vitamins but iono maybe it’s back? Dun dun dunnnn
Yes for some reason all the Moms driving them go ten miles over the speed limit down my street.
My argument is that ‘maybe there is something there.’ Pretty sure I baked in enough uncertainty to cover my bases. Anyway, a regular consumer isn’t likely to need Vettel amounts of sophistication. I don’t know what to expect from this new ST except that it’ll be a Ford with all the good/bad that entails.
I watched some ‘day in the life’ video about Sebastian Vettel. He takes the journalist to the track and drifts them around in an Infinity SUV modded to be fun as hell. Later he makes pasta. But the point is that dissing on SUVs is valid and all, but if an F1 champion can have fun in them then maybe there’s something…
Aw, darn.
Maybe it’s a Turbo Mustang ST.
The next Senna!
I’m betting you say that all the time about stuff people are excited about just to sound cool “orgasms just insist on themselves”
