I love Rogue One, but here’s what they could have done:

Really glad that one of the first comments about editors referenced her. She’s one of the forgotten architects of the whole Star Wars cultural phenomenon, and probably her absence is a good reason why ROTJ and the prequels aren’t as good as what came before.

Incidentally, I also think the story of how Lucas lost her

‘The worst thing anyone could have done.’

No, the worst thing was when someone hacked her phone and stole those women’s pictures.

I think we can be fairly certain that poster is very well-versed in that particular act...

I’m gonna be vague here, so I guess people won’t believe me, but I’ve heard kind of the opposite. A female member of my family had a role in the pilot episode of one of his shows, and had an accident which meant she couldn’t do it. Everyone from the top down was lovely to her about it, and found her another, smaller

I’m still a bit surprised that they didn’t go with Ansol Egert. Your explanation does make some sense though.

Why are people obsessed with this ‘better’ film idea? I mean, why would they do that?

The only answer to that question that would make any sense would be a compromise to satisfy some studio edict, but does the ending of Rogue One play out like a compromise to anyone at all? I could understand it if there was a sudden

I reckon that was the equivalent of the ‘chewie opens the hatch on the AT-ST’ moment from ROTJ.

Will the endless atrocities of Big Diaper never end?

That’d be a really good explanation.

Totally just thought the same thing. Amazons being created by Zeus to fight Ares seems pretty reminiscent of the idea that Kryptonians were created to order to fulfill specific roles, ie the military purpose that Zod was born into and Kal-El, as a natural birth, was an the exception to.

I wouldn’t be totally surprised

So, I’m assuming that Zeus and Ares are Kryptonians then? This seems to be sort of in line with the mythology about warriors like Zod being created for specific purposes in MOS.

(Putting this pet theory down now in case I’m right).

Yeah, that happened to a pal of mine. He’s about a foot taller than me and once broke my collarbone in one of those ‘you don’t know your own strength’ accidents (at university his nickname was ‘the bulldozer puppy’) and when we were 13 I would sit on the subs bench watching entire teams of opposition players bounce

I was in a team like that- one of my friends was about a foot taller than everyone else until we got to about age 14. We had a few other people like that too, just early developers who were very physically talented. Then it all started to even out in terms of height, weight, strength etc for everybody. We went from

I walked across London like this, one day in 1998! It’s surprisingly easy to navigate using the tube stations as your waypoints. It’s weird to walk for four hours or more and still be in a city, though.

I think you’re pretty much right. The fact that the England team didn’t just adapt to that is a reflection on them, not the Italians.

It does look to me like they (and Italy) perceived their advantage as being out wide, but it’s strategy 101- if your opponent is better than you at doing something, find a way to stop

If every left-leaning person realised what you said there, a lot of things would be better.

Blade Runner, Minority Report, Running Man,The Green Mile, The Graduate, The Exorcist.

Case in point: first Jar Jar Binks, then Gollum.

I’m ok with mainstreaming understanding of the Holocaust, and how fascism starts, if unchecked.
