Nah, I think they’ve got you pegged quite accurately.
Nah, I think they’ve got you pegged quite accurately.
Bobbit worm. Huh-huh, huh-huh.
Woody Harrelson’s mentoring should just be an extended series of monologues and examples about why you ALWAYS shoot first and never give the other guy a chance. He should literally be in a cantina, and just be talking about that. Every now and then it cuts back to him, and he is still talking about it, and still…
YES FUCK YES SOMEONE ELSE DREAMS AS I DREAM.
I see where you’re going, but what about Cannonball Run!
(pet theory/pipe dream of mine for a while now).
The possibility still exists that this film will be 12 Parsecs in length, and the ‘classic film’ the directors have talked about referencing is going to be the Cannonball Run. Wouldn’t a ridiculous, goofy Han Solo space race film be fun?
No, I rather think you have missed the rather good in-script explanation within Episode VII itself, and furthermore misunderstood the idea that things that might not be fully clear at one point in a story might be set-up for a future resolution. Honestly though, you’re only missing out on your own enjoyment if you…
Also, the story isn’t over. There is something being set up here. All the written accounts Lucasfilm have put out online or whatever talk about Kylo Ren feeling weakened in some way after killing his father, even before he’s shot. Then there’s the fact that she was letting the Dark Side in, almost as if it’s a…
‘it is irritating to wait all this time for a Star Wars film as a male and be given a girl to have to root for.’
Dude, it’s ok to be on the same side as a girl. They’re, like, people too, with feelings and agency in their own stories and everything.
They rather explicitly showed the bowcaster doing a shed-ton of damage throughout the film, blowing away multiple stormtroopers with one shot. I thought that was rather well set up, and a neat bit of storytelling which gave some logic to how it could to some extent be a fair fight.
Fuck. CRUZ IS PLAYING THE LONG GAME!
Actually, funny thing there, the Cruz’ “how the hell did anyone support this guy” phenomenon had some major strategic boosts from Cambridge Analytica: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2015/dec/11/senator-ted-cruz-president-campaign-facebook-user-data
I’m not quite so sure of that. Sure, those explanations are there and if you take them at face value, fine. There’s obviously something more going on, though. Sometimes great storytelling is when a plot point feels a little off but not enough to completely disbelieve, and then gets turned around completely by a…
This is the explanation that makes sense to me. Han’s a scoundrel.
But, Han could have strayed. There’s a lot of other women out there in that galaxy. If she was a child that either he or Rey’s mother was ashamed of, that would explain a lot of things, not least why Han and Chewie were nearby, and why Han and Leia aren’t together.
Here’s a good explanation of a major reason why: The Right, at the moment, has a far better grasp of the internet, and is much better at targeting exactly the people it needs to win elections and referenda:

I choose to believe that this is the ‘Bruce Wayne will do a better job getting into that mansion than the Batman, Alfred. All I have to do is put on a suit and sip some champagne, and they’ll let me in’ part of the investigation.
My daughter is almost three, and absolutely LOVES the Frozen Soundtrack, to an obsessive degree. She’s the target audience for this song, not us.
She got 55 seconds into this and yelled ‘TURN IT OFF!’
This reminds me of the time Bush was at a dinner of academics and said the name ‘John Locke’ when he was talking about influences on American Democracy. He said it like ‘umm, John Locke?’ and his intonation screamed ‘I’ve been given this name. Is this a guy you’ve heard of? Did I say it right?’
‘If something is legal it’s fine,’ is amongst the most morally empty arguments ever presented.
Plus, doxxing isn’t legal when it’s done with intent to endanger or harass.
There are a lot of people talking negatively about gay marriage online. That’s distasteful to me, but not something that I feel should be barred outright. I believe in the logical and ethical arguments in favour of gay marriage, and I believe that those arguments will beat those presented against it.
What SHOULD be…
