Exactly. More and more people/disciplines think they can play Doctor these days and it’s really frustrating and dangerous. I wonder if there is a case to be made about these assholes practicing medicine without a license? If I (a physician) prescribe a medication to my patient and then the pharmacist refuses to

HIPAA violations can lead to criminal prosecution.

How about the reason being, ”none your damn business.” Seriously, she is taking medicine prescribed by a doctor. Unless there is some drug interaction that the doctor overlooked, just fill the prescription.

Why would that have been wrong, since it is not only accurate, but drives home exactly why she was discriminated against?

He did not give me a clear reason for the refusal. He just kept asking, loudly and in front of other CVS staff and customers, why I was given the prescriptions.

Why would you ever EVER need to give a reason why you were prescribed certain medications with a valid prescription?! That is between you and your doctor, period. Isn’t that what HIPPA laws are for??? And then to continue to deny after the doctor personally calls it in. That’s another level of dick right there.

Wow. That pharmacist is a piece of shit.

I’m just heartbroken for her. Going in for her first prescription with all the hopes and happiness that could entail, to just have it so derailed and so miserable.

Not if you don't surgically attach it to yourself, and even then it's probably not very functional

the Utah Gun Exchange people have been following the Parkland students around the country in “a military-style armored vehicle” and holding their own counter-protests.

But cute little anecdotes totally prove that deeply entrenched systemic inequality isnt so bad after all!

Cheaper than bread and circuses.

This is a variant of all the other feel good stories: Undercover Boss, buying a car for a guy who walks to works, donating to X sick person, etc. It feeds the masses just enough to keep quiet and not think about what’s causing these issues: low wages, lack of paid maternity leave, lack of “public” healthcare option,

Throw in guaranteed paternity leave, single payer, and strong unionization and you might be getting somewhere.

Might lower our maternal death rate, tho.

Wonder if guaranteed maternity leave would positively impact those dreaded low birthdate numbers in U.S.

The problem here being, he’s a present day Republican, so he’ll rag on his parents for not supporting him instead of taking the time to be a little bit introspective.

I’m insulting the fact that he’s made it a goddamned centerpiece of his campaign, and that he brings it up on every occasion possible and makes it seem like it’s some kind of rare honor that he earned through exceptional service. When in fact it’s one of the most common medals and was given to almost 100,000

This is the choad who constantly touts the fact he won a Bronze Star while he was in the service in Iraq. He even has it in a framed box in the background of one his campaign commercials.
