“In a thank God Rory chose Yale sort of way.”

Was scrolling down to comment the exact same thing. I see many others were, too.

Yep. I flew to Mexico with the latter half of the Harry Potter boxed set. Had no problems. (I am also white.)

Hey, so remember when I pointed out that thing you said about lymphoma was weird?

Usually, I agree with you. But for some reason my one exception is Rita Ora.

...in a worse use of wireless technology than intentionally trying to give someone lymphoma.

Am still getting notifications from that one time I told a dude you aren’t white.

I am very grateful for those bystanders. He needs to figure out how to control himself when there aren't bystanders there to keep the people around him safe.

Kudos to those bystanders for herding him away from her, right? Yay bystander intervention!

Bless you and bless this post.

Ugh, I’m trying to recommend your posts, but I keep getting Kinja’d back to the top of the article.

Hear, hear. I’m all for defending women in shitty situations and advocating for better abortion access. BUT this woman murdered her baby over a selfish desire to save face. If she was at university and in a sorority, she had access to resources that could have helped her out. Instead, she chose to kill another human

Those drop boxes cost money. Money that could otherwise be spent on food, clothes and diapers, and other goods and services for children in care. CPS budgets are smaaaall. It sucks that bc a few women are too ashamed to drop off their babies face-to-face other kids lose out on stuff they need.

My guess is that it's more real. Some reality shows aren't scripted, but they're so heavily edited that they may as well be. This is probably less heavily edited to keep it real.

Just tried to star your post, and I was transported to the top of the article.

It is the most amazing. I finished it in like a day because I just could not stop watching. Elisabeth Moss won the Golden Globe for it, and let me tell you, she DESERVED it.

Which is precisely what CPS will offer her. CPS tries to keep families together, not tear them apart. They only remove kids in extreme circumstances. Usually, they just try to help the family figure out how to avoid having to make the same mistake they were reported for again.

It’s not a bystander’s job to do that. They maybe don't want to scare the kids with stranger danger. Or maybe they're in a hurry to get where they're going. Or maybe they're an employee in the food court and they're busy working. So instead, they called the police, whose job it IS to handle these things.
