Not when they aren't the one who left the child unsupervised. The other parent may have no idea that she did this... How are they responsible?

I work for CPS. You are wrong.

Potato-oh-oh!

Just posted this. Should have read your comment first. ;)

Which is pretty cool, especially given the editorial board claiming in comments on their post that they would have preferred discussion about The Post to it being taken down. Apparently not, since they banned people for said discussion. Ugh

So you’re saying that a for-profit company is in it for the money? And?

I was in-patient at the hospital yesterday, and one doctor was beyond quirky. He asked if any aliens abducted me during the night. He listened to my belly and said, “I don’t hear any anchovie pizza in this belly.” And he told me and the rest of the medical team about the friendship of J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis.

Most of my oncologists have been pretty quirky/nutty. Just FYI.

I’m glad someone else caught the “might” and had a similar AYFKM moment.

Yes. Shutting down the shop is far superior to accepting orders/money and hiding.

What a ridiculous assumption to make about eleanor from one conversation about one story that you disagree about.

So at what point does it start being ok to talk about? Do you think no one should talk about Thomas Jefferson raping Sally Hemings?

Thank you for saying this more eloquently than I could.

What in that article was cruel towards Judy? I thought the writer did a great job of pointing out what Judy did and did not know in order to paint her sympathetically. Reading the article certainly made me feel sympathetic toward her.

Yeah, I completely disagree that the article portrayed Judy in a negative light. In fact, I found myself feeling sympathetic for her throughout the article.

Basically, yes. But I do really like the way it looks on the “Scott Walker” hat, with the little stripes in the blue part.

I’m not really sure why you replied to my comment instead of just replying to the article in general, but okay.

Some people really, truly believe that their religious freedom means denying others’ freedoms.

There was garbage in the 80s and 90s, too. We don’t play it anymore, so people forget that.

THIS. The exemption makes it so they themselves do not provide the birth control, but their employees can still get birth control if they choose. They just want it so that they can outright prevent their employees from getting birth control at all.
