I see this argument constantly without the never mind and it’s a peeve. Sorry I was aggressively agreeing with the general concept of your post.

Right I remember when all those cops showed up to calmly discuss the issues in Selma. Desegregation was a long calm conversation. It was a privileged to live a life where you believed everyone was having calm conversations. Nostalgia can be applied to your life but not to history.
Right people are comfortable with others dying for selling a loose cig but get really offended when held to any level of accountability for their own actions.
Who ever hits the other in the face first would win. I would guess neither has taken a punch since elementary school. In new fighters it’s hard to take that first punch and keep moving forward unless you have no other options.
Right to call something revisionist it should be pretty easy for a historian like Tom Cotton to point out a single inaccuracy to make his point. Oh we’ll wait.
Statues can’t tell the truth. You see one and assume you have to respect it because someone put it there. They are the perfect tool for people who want to pretend they care about stuff. No actual investment of actual learning.
Never heard their music before. Thanks I loved reading the summation for the songs.
Are you sure this is causation. It takes a bastard to make it to the top of toxic orgs as well. You have to absorb the behavior and be complicit to ascend.
Right I vote in GA. There wouldn’t be enough time in the day to stand in line multiple times if someone were motivated to try and vote twice.
I get you are joking but if you get a knock on your door from unmarked DHS employees trying to take your dog I wouldn’t be shocked.
Pets would be unable to vote because the polling locations in GA are going to be fucked up anyway. Let’s be honest.
You are not alone. I could have typed this word for word but you did it for me. I think a lot of people are in that pit right now. If anyone is reading this and feels the pit is too deep please know that despite what it may feel like it there are still people who actually care about others. …
Best title of the year. Can’t out kinja that.
Came here for this was not disappointed.
I think we are seeing currently running the country requires a 12-point plan not bullshit. If bullshit were the solution Covid would have never touched our shores.
Yep all pizzas are good, Taco Bell Mexican Pizza included.
“Your rights stop at my nose”-
The issue I found so strange. “Muh rights” has zero to do with the reality of the virus. Their rejection isn’t “My rights are being infringed” but “Muh rights means the virus is fake.” It’s fucking insane. Now anything that challenges what you want politically simply doesn’t exist.
It’s not “very odd” this literally is exactly what everyone said would happen. It’s not “very odd” an air borne virus spreads when people get together. If it were “odd” it mean all of those people had the ability to see an unpredictable future. There were two possible outcomes and one happened. Your political leanings…
They are my two favorites. Slight nod to Ratatouille for having a very real grasp on kitchen culture and squeezing the critique into the movie so well that I somehow for years missed it.
