I have long argued that this was one of the best Bond movies, and I would easily put it above any of the Brosnan films. Dalton was off to a good start, though I can't say I am as much of a fan of License to Kill. This film had a ton going for it. Dalton had some of Moore's polish but was a little rougher like Connery.

RIP Geoffrey, you were brilliant and will be missed.

My father grew up in south Florida and was big into scuba diving in its early days. They wanted him to be one of the stunt divers for that scene but he decided he couldn't take the time off from college. He always regretted that.

Totally, totally under-rated Bond movie, absolutely one of the best. Great villain (Pycelle!), gorgeous women (including future Bond Pierce Brosnan's wife Cassandra Harris), great locations, great cast, great story - it had it all.

True that. She gets props for "Moonraker" too. The movie itself is kitschy (but fun), but the theme song is hauntingly beautiful and underrated.

So true. The documentary held your attention from beginning to end without the unnecessary dramatization that will surely accompany a film version

I am pretty excited about this mission. According to the article on CNN, we should be getting the first distant images in mid-January, and "better than Hubble" images by May.

Oh dear... Tribute fail.

It's a robot thing

The Series 2 Lagonda is pretty polarizing, but if you don't love the Series 1 (above), you need to seek help.

I think those slots with the red buttons above the keypad are cassette tape holders, but where is the tape deck?

My esteem!

The song or the video? The song was a rather ubiquitous dance hit from around '99, it's been used in a number of things though I can't recall anything specific. Never actually seen this video before, it was just the first hit on YouTube when I searched.

That was beautiful. We have seen many photos and videos of Pripyat before but what I really appreciated about this one were the panning shots showing the reactor in the distance. I don't think I realized just how close it was to the city.

Word is it's coming, but it's rumored to be in one of the XCs because, you know, Americans only like SUVs, not wagons.

If my father's old '76 930 was any indication... no, no they aren't. Of course that car had a hard time keeping its tail behind it on dry streets.

V60 Plug-in Hybrid. Bring it to the US and I will buy it. Not the XC, the V60.

I second the Q Core, best sleep I have ever had in the woods. I always has a home in my pack. I use the Big Agnes Pumphouse to inflate which nicely doubles as a clothing stuff sack. It only takes ~5 minutes to inflate with that.

They used to be distributed in the US by Remington but ended that relationship, which seems to have caused a change in distribution channels. You can order it right from the UK off the website and I think if you order a certain amount you get free shipping.
