King of Shaves gels (any variety, they are all excellent)

Been covered here before, but the James Brown/aliens episode of Miami Vice certainly deserves a place on this list.

My father was in NYC on a business trip the week ANH opened and he wandered into the Ziegfeld to see it, not knowing much about the film. He said that shot got a standing ovation from the crowd. He took me to see it as soon as he got home.

Yes! This book and "The Leading Edge" by Walter Boyne. I stared at their pictures for hours as a kid.

Nice! Always wanted to sit up there. I have a good and very well connected friend who makes it into the Paddock Club frequently. In 1993, he and I went to Montreal, my first ever F1 GP. His family was acquainted with Peter Collins, then manager of Team Lotus. We actually got pit passes. Spend most of the race standing

So I'll assume you didn't celebrate after the fact on Ste. Catherine St.? (I was 25 and with a crew of engineering students from Rochester Institute of Technology's racing team). Sadly, that was actually my last F1 race... need to get back up there.

We were seated down at the first turn complex. We at least waited for the cars to clear but yeah, we stormed the track too. Somewhere I have a small model of Alesi riding on Schumacher's car after he ran out of gas on the back straight. What a day that was.

For pure beauty, my vote goes for the '94 412 T1, but the '95 T2 has a soft spot in my heart because I was at Montreal when Jean Alesi won his only Grand Prix in it, racing with Gilles Villeneuve's number, at the race track named after Villeneuve. Sort of a big day. And it was Alesi's birthday too.

Damn, I came here to post this too with the exact same comment. This was the prettiest version too, before the T1B with the redesigned side pods. Since I'm here, I'll throw my picture up too... never can have enough of a good thing.

Love BD Alpine Carbon Corks - they are fantastic. You don't even notice the weight and they are incredibly strong. You do get what you pay for when you invest in decent quality poles. Cheaper ones always seem to break easier (at the worst possible time), their locks aren't as study and their tips aren't as durable

When weight is a concern, my choice is always a stainless steel hip flask of High West Distilleries Campfire - the most appropriately named choice around. It's a questionable-sounding blend of scotch, bourbon or rye, but it works and it's fantastic. The sweetness of bourbon balances against the smokiness of scotch.

Platypus and GSI both make wine-specific bags. It's certainly not necessary to get specialty bags and you can certainly use any generic versions but these are perfectly sized for a standard 750ml wine bottle. This is a great way to transport wine and lets you bring whatever you want. It's light, it doesn't slosh, and

"No Jacket Required" is a nearly flawless pop album (and I do not mean that in a derogatory way) from beginning to end. It was certainly popular, but still never earned the props it deserved. It's easily a top 10, if not top 5, album of the 80s.

Followed closely by the ending of Season 2, Episode 1 "The Prodigal Son" (a.k.a the New York episode) which very effectively used "Take Me Home".

We can get the dimmable 60W Crees for $4.97 at Home Depot in Massachusetts. I just saw they're selling them in a 4-pack now for $16.97. The 40W I believe is a $1 more expensive (strange, assume that's a volume thing), the 75W is now $9.97 and the 100W is still up at $19.97.

Yo dawg, I heard you like Iron Man...

If you're taking requests, the Texas Towers radar platforms could be another great topic.

Good list but I think you need to go back a little bit further on a couple of them. The Corvette became a serious, take-notice sports car with the C5. The C6 and C7 have been strong evolution, but the C5 was the revolution.

Awesome, I am ordering this now. I have a funny distinction I make about people - whether they were born before or after Star Wars. It comes into play when I am discussing pop culture. Everyone loves and/or respects the movies, but not everyone understands the impact.

This about two miles from my house and I passed by that morning at about 5:30AM wondering what all the news trucks were doing in our quiet little suburban town.
