Step one to making interior last longer could be to remove any and all carpet and cloth upholstery. Car-wise nothing is more disgusting than 15 years of dead skin cells in old car seats.

Kristen ‘Fancy’ Lee,

You’re a treasure. This is the most informative fashion article article I’ve seen on Jezza...um...errr....Jalopnik in some time. Please don’t ever change.

Here let me help you understand. Imagine for a moment a world where you have one of these...

For get the bar! Let’s talk about that tailgate griddle!!! Guess who’s going to be the hit of the camping trip? The dude who’s serving up pancakes and empanadas from his tailgate!

Funny I always thought they looked best in their natural habitat; rusted out in front of a double wide.

WW makes new beers, its typically just sours from the Funkatorium which probably don’t make it out of NC. I do agree though that before the acquisition they were pumping out new beers practically every week. Now they can’t even be troubled to update their marketing, looking at you 5 year old pernicious label. Also

Maybe if Tariff Man would calm down gross profits wouldn’t be down across the board for the manufacturing sector. His trade ware timeline starts at the end of 2017 and continues to today.

That’s the point though. They are eating HD’s lunch by being EXACTLY like them in every respect but without having to lug around the baggage of HD’s ‘image’. Most normal people don’t want to be associated with the classic HD land pirate image anymore.

God one can only hope.

Pretty much. Also the new Harley’s are...exactly like the old Harley’s. I get that that is\was their style and market, but you have to grow and innovate with the times or die.

And Indian is just over there printing money.

I’m sure like most other people I don’t care about brand loyalty. I care about cost of ownership, capability for price point, price relative to rest of segment, how it looks, how nice the interior is, and how it drives. Last time I was in the truck market I went with a GMC because they were the best looking, best

Literally this. When I was looking to buy a truck two years ago I test drove both and liked the Ford more, but not $10,000 more. Ended up with a GMC because they were putting $15k on the hoods to move them.

I drive a ‘16 Sierra and its basically impossible to load anything heavy into the side without a loading dock or some sort of step. My defacto loading process is place ‘the heavy thing’ onto the tailgate and slide it into the bed. I can only imagine how scrapped up the bed would be if I didn’t have the factory bed

BUT BUT WHAT ABOUT OUR FANCY TAILGATEZ!!!!

Anecdotal as I drive a ‘16 Sierra, but I think 18 MPG from a 5500 lbs. v8 equipped truck is decent. I won’t argue that the smaller engines are just as capable 99% of the time, self included. But given the choice between a new truck with a more efficient engine and mine, I’ll continue to hold until they make a hybrid

Yup, people were buying JK’s because they were cheap for their size, were cool, and had great resale value.

That is GM’s defacto strategy. They cannot seem to make a product without one major defect, styling problem, or missing feature. Just to name a few off the top of the head.

Wow, how to win at car camping.

Anecdotal but it cost my insurance company $650 to replace a wheel on my Sierra earlier this year when I was hit by a drunk driver. It’s a 20 inch factory wheel. Assuming they got away with 124 similar wheels then their take was only $80,600, but since they’re stolen I’d reduce that by half to $40,300. Making the take
