Seriously. Did 2 loads of fire wood with mine recently and it was a life saver.

I’ve got one and already had someone drop it on my bike rack. I’ve heard rumors that the replacement cost is like $5k. Any truth to that?

Counter point, I am able bodied and am constantly jumping in and out of the bed of my AT4. I thought the multipro tailgate was stupid at first, but it’s grown on me. The steps are nice for loading and unloading and the little work table it makes is nice for when I have to work on the mountain bike at the trial head.

Love my corner notches. I still climb up on the tires all the time though. I thought the new GM tailgate were stupid until I had to haul fire wood. So nice to be able to walk up and down the stairs as opposed to hopping in and out.

Where do I start...

This. Paddles should be in modern trucks for towing\engine braking in hilly environments so you can keep both hands on the wheel. The column shifter on GM trucks and buttons for Ram are inadequate, and I shouldn’t have to buy a TRX\ZR2\Raptor just to get them.

Hell, I bought an AT4 this year and when I went to sign papers the sales guy said he had 3 other buyers lined up for my truck if I walked. He said its been like that all year. People are paying damn near MSRP for these trucks which is in stark contrast to 5 years ago when you could expect to get $15k off the hood in

Yes, they did. They did the same for lower trims. Why produce low margin fleet vehicles when you could produce your highest margin luxury trucks? Also with this shortage they’re removing supply from the market, so they no longer have to put money on the hood like they previously did for full size trucks.

Your father also probably understands depreciation. A 5 year old Benz is worth 30% of its MSRP, while that Sierra Denali is still worth 80%. Which would you rather have when you trade in?

Over the next couple of years, anything that isn’t an electric truck\SUV. The older I get the more I need a vehicle for moving stuff\people\dogs more so than driving back roads fast (I’ve never been to a track and don’t expect to at this point). Plus most EV’s that you’d actually want to drive, looking at you Chevy

Brown diesel manual wagon.

Same, the Rivian can’t get here soon enough. Seems like now is the time to vote with our wallets to prevent climate change.

IDK. I like it. Its not gonna out crawl X or go faster over dunes than Y. But for the normal\average overlander this thing is sick. Tons of payload, OEM armor\lockers\tires, comfy the other 5 days a week, still cheaper than a Rapter\Trex\Power Wagon. Get the diesel for great range or the 6.2 b/c racetruck. Throw a RTT

Yes and they do have that base covered with the Colorado ZR2. A Silverado ZR2 is perfect for less intense offroad activities like overlanding. And not the crazy expedition portal\Moab Rock crawler shit, like normie overlanding. Where you’re going to take your wife, kids and\or dogs, tent and all your food and go

Yes and so are semi conductors. Hard to build anything anymore without chips in it. Seems like that would create a lot of good paying jobs state side too.

I certainly did when I went to buy new shocks. Everything, and I mean everything, was sold out everywhere. I was going to go with an ICON setup and ended up with a basic Fox setup b/c that’s what I could get my hands on at the time. I was being quoted 30+ weeks if I wanted to pay full right now for a back order.

They’re allegedly going to put out a higher performance trail boss (Trail founder? Trail Managing Partner? Trail board member? Trail Majority Shareholder?) and the hummer but I won’t hold my breath on either...Until then you can just put a mid travel kit on a Sierra and get 9/10ths the experience without 11/10ths of

Hey FCA! Can I get that suspension and a front locker on a normal Rebel? Would be great to get double digit MPG and not rattle my teeth out on fire roads.

Yes! Give me Clarkson and May on the injection molded plastic.

I’d say its only feasible for people in cities that already have extensive public transit networks, as those are the only locations that have the necessary population density. And god forbid you might have to go somewhere else, move a large/heavy object between places, or have a hobby that requires you to travel to
