What is likely the culprit is that sales were not good enough and embracer group pilled the plug rather than pay for continued development.

Same. Unless there’s a game-breaking bug that keeps me from progressing, I’m staying on 1.1.1 and airplane mode until I’m done.

I’m just gonna not update the game until I’ve completed everything I want to do.

OR!!! never install the patches.

I don’t think these strats can really be called “cheeses” since they’re clearly intentional. If you weren’t supposed to ascend through the rock dude or use your block-grabbing powers on the robot made of blocks, those interactions wouldn’t have been coded in.

This was playtested and they knew it was a mediocre product, they just don’t care as long as enough people pay AAA game prices for it.

We’re not fine with it, just don’t have any choice.

This comment is just sad

is this satire

Exactly. Seems most people don’t realize this fact nowadays

Games are toys. Sorry you don’t feel that way.

And then there’s me who just today found out that I could have owned a house in BotW. Ha, jeez. After a quick Googling, I see that it was a sidequest in the village in the Southwest. That was the very last part of the map that I explored and by the time I got there, I was so sick of the long boring and unrewarding

I love how the chugging motion makes it look like it’s laughing maniacally. Although, I’ve never played that game, so maybe it is?

I’m legit surprised they didn’t account for this. Beseige was out here littering the internet with flaming robot dicks (and robot swastikas) nearly a decade ago.

... TAKE MY MONEY!

Ryu does his taxes.

He reminds me of a “centrist” acquaintance of mine. Defends right-wing ideologies while trying to be “nuanced” about things... by joking about human rights issues and the like. If my acquaintance’s fate is anything to go by, they soon get ostracised by their peer group but not soon enough.

Welcome to capitalism - this is the way. It objectively makes almost every business worse from the customer perspective all in the name of shareholder value.

Outside of maybe the Technical Support section of the forums, that’s mostly been my experience for a while as well.

Company owned forums are always just toxicity, whining, and unanswered questions. Game subreddits are the only place I EVER find valuable discourse happening about a game anymore
