Point two really doesn’t apply here since Franchise tags are fully guaranteed once signed by the player.

Not a Mike and Mike fan but I did listen to them a bit back in the late 00s, so my question is who the hell thinks giving Greenie a TV show is a good idea. Not that either one is good but Golic is at least mildly entertaining in a big dumb homer sort of way, Greenberg always seemed to sound bored and more importantly…
I will be helpful and explain the joke, the Mets current record is 40-47.
We will see the men go to three in slams before we see the women go to five.
That confused me too, never been to an A level ball game though high or low, there is a local AA team and I go to them a few times every year and they go for 9.
Lenny Dykstra went bankrupt as well. I know of a few others mostly stars from the 80s it is a lot less common now than it used to be.
This may shock you but the country was founded by citizens of the British Crown and after early tensions faded (and 2 wars) we have spent the the vast majority of 150 years with close ties to the UK sharing a language, as well as strong cultural, military and economic ties.
I agree with this completely but I would add an addendum to the last line. While I do not fault him I also have zero sympathy for him either.
My first thought on reading the Headline was ... Kevin Can Wait has fans?
That is a truly horrific thought, even worse to consider is that with out Eli winning twice Brady would already have seven.
You have an issue with the good folks at Websters and the OED, both of them define socialism as community or governments. Granted I just had gen econ when I got me bachelors so was pretty thumbnail but I had a bit more on Poli Sci and Philosophy which also went with the definition of socialism as a governmental thing.…
Again socialism is community or government ownership. Where besides the Green Bay Packers is there any community or government ownership in American sports?
I would disagree with La Liga as doing Ok since I couldn’t think of a sports league I would be less interesting in watching. I like soccer but it has been Real and Barca in the same way this last NBA season was Warriors and Cavs for decades, I love the EPL but baring the miracle run of Leicester but any fan of a team…
My reason would be no booze.
I like that you can make a dirty sentence with the abbreviations for example
It is still capitalism, as someone mentioned in another reply the NBA owners formed a cartel to control the distribution of a production, is Dole (fruit producers) not capitalist because they grew from a cartel of interests?
That is pretty much text book capitalism, use money (capital in econ speak) to gain the means of production (In this case the right to put on NBA basketball games) use whatever tactics needed to maximize profit from said means of production.
I think it is less an issue of valuing winning over money than it is valuing winning over what you make in your side job.
Yes very much so. Look up the case of Joe Smith with the Timberwolves in the 90s they had some shady side deal with him, too long ago for me to remember the details but the league voided his contract and smacked the Wolves.
The 2006 Miami Heat might like a word with you.
