If we go with him getting the max both ways. Signing as a free agent is 38.25 sign and trade max is 41.4 per year on both.

I can’t fault you there. If I was to break it down numerically I would likely go 80 A /20 E. I don’t race can completely be dismissed as a possible factor but think time slot would be the overwhelming issue.
I would lean most towards option A. Facts of Life another NBC sitcom centered around HS students had a drug episode in the late 80 that mentioned a real drug not a substitute not pertaining to speed so not an exact parallel, and that was the in the mid-late 80s so makes me doubt it was B. And since the user was not…
My guess would be that he values the extra $45 million or so more than the increased chances at a title. (Edit: double checked the numbers and I had them transposed in my head, he gets an extra $54 million this way)
Momentum does not affect outcomes, but stress has been shown to most definitely affect performance so I can see the wisdom of putting the best first to settle nerves of those with less proficiency.
Usually more money. In this case, the related issue of freeing up Houston for cap space to try and sign someone else.
Not if they are all in line then you would just have a line, no triangle.
I think the triangle was very much a product of the NBA of it’s time. The focus of it was to create iso opportunities for the 2(shooting guard) this makes it a great offense when teams cannot double team until a player has the ball and you have the best 2 in the league on your team.
I think a lot of the reason people have gone against Durant is the result of the move it turned the season and playoffs into a formality. It was the Warriors to win form the first tip off back in November and rarely looked like anything else.
Have to point this out. Kevin Durant left the city that drafted him after one season with the rest of the franchise.
Your last paragraph is incorrect. Westbrook has made it past the conference finals already. He, Durant, and the rest of the Thunder made it to the NBA Finals in 2012, losing to the Heat and giving LeBron his first ring.
Where do I fall into things? I think Russ is a great player and have no issues with him doing any stat chasing but I also have no issue with KD or any free agent choosing what they consider the best option available to them, however they choose to weigh what he best option is.
I agree the trade was a no-brainer, as far as my dour outlook I think that might be an over correction from this last offseason, I will admit to being one of the many folks who mistakenly believed they would press for a playoff spot this last season so I might be thinking too far the other way now. Still you gotta…
As I Twolves Fan I am not sure I am excitied about this. Don’t get me wrong we got a great deal but still not sure we crack the playoffs in the west.
It pains me to say this but sadly Rodgers has a ring too. (2010 over the Steels in the Suberbowl.)
Without question yes. Even if in this what if world MJ and Kobe never won titles they would be remembered as great players, for example Charles Barkley or Patrick Ewing.
<nods> I realized long after my post that I had totally forgotten Ray Allen ever being with the Sonics.
You know I could see this happening if only because I think it somehow makes both teams worse, because I really don’t see Kristaps and Thibs coexisting well at all.
He also fleeced the Wolves to get KG and got the Bucks to part with Ray Allen which lead to a title before he was able to blow that team up and rebuild without an extended period of being crap. Not a Celtics fan but I definitely think Ainge is in the top 5 GMs in the league.
If the question when will we know x? Is answered with “It will be obvious” then there is at least a 99 % chance the person who answered the question is bullshitting.
