I’ll have to nab an SC before they all rot away, to fulfill a longtime project hope.
My family has owned a total of 6 Saturns - total brand loyalty while I was growing up. Them getting shut down left me totally unmoored.
I knew several people who had these that were well past 250k and the things just went forever. Yes- for American cars of the time they were pretty damned reliable.
The very late Saturns were pretty good cars too. The Sky and Astra (which is more of a rebadged Vauxhall/Opel) were great cars but too little too late.
I loved our Saturn sooooo much and was really into the brand’s story. It was really depressing watching GM kill it. This was probably my first education in corporate idiocy.
Nice price only because the used car market is royally effed up. It is a very appropriate car for this site though, being a brown manual wagon from a defunct brand and all.
thank you for posting this.
Sanka!
These kinds of stories and accompanying facts are great reasons to stop relegating violence as an incel aberration because it’s something practiced by men regardless of relationship status and sexual activity.
Texas reply: “The only way this could have been prevented is if the woman and baby had their own guns as well.”

Armageddon comes from Hebrew הר מגידו (Har Megiddo), which is a real place in Israel, where the battle is supposed to happen.
J4 is also considered to be an unplayable hand for the most part. Therefore it’s a junk hand.
I worked Texas Hold’em at a casino here in Australia an eternity ago, including some high stakes tournaments and cash games. I agree, I don’t see any sign of cheating here.
Exactly this. Once you’re heads-up, virtually every normal betting strategy goes out the window in favor of folding immediately or going all-in on any given hand. Most cash games would fold up at 2 players for exactly that reason and in a tournament the play is even looser since both players have already won.
That must be one hell of a small cake Camilla’s making. In my family, my Gran’s Victoria Sponge is known as “The 225" because of the equal amounts of butter to sugar to flour (and all beaten up in her old Kenwood. It’s older than me but still in better condition). Also - Victoria Sponges when unadorned with fillings…
It can last for days is you stabilize the whipped cream with powdered milk. I used powdered buttermilk once and the tang was delightful.
