Loud pipes makes people get pissed about motorcycles, leading to ever-increasing restrictions on noise pollution. Neither the general public nor lawmakers know that most motorcycles have not been illegally modified. The slogan ‘Loud pipes save lives’ is an inconsiderate moron’s justification to ride with straight

Wow!...thank you.

It was good enough for Jon Voight!

in general there is more oversight and a greater emphasis on evidence based medicine. I’ve worked and trained at a few (world class) academic medical institutions and also worked at a couple non profit/non academic institutions; while both are fine, I think its generally accepted that academic institutions will yield

My husband is a doctor at a teaching hospital (the one he actually trained at). So my comments relate to the typical teaching hospital (a midsized regional hospital.) Things are/may be different at Big academic research hospitals.

Everyone thinks their regional bbq is the best.

Not enough outrage today.  Needed to drag up an old story to meet the required levels.

Also, it’s possible to purchase it.

Everyone knows that an eclipse distorts the space time continuum.

Yeah, that’s something that gets missed. We can sit here and talk about different BBQ areas of the country, but each state also has that one place that is really good. Tulsa, OK has a place called Burn Company (I think?). Cincinnati, OH has Eli’s BBQ. Philadelphia has a place, but I can’t remember the name or the

Haha I love this counterpoint

At least you can breath at the top of Pike’s Peak.

They could have offered a gift card or certificate. Bonus for the restaurant if they spend more.on the return visit. They could have also offered extra desserts to take home.

Then don’t think of the cause and just approach the news with at least requisite sympathy/empathy for the family.

I am 100% on the cops side in this case. I actually surprised the guy didn’t ask for backup before even interacting with the guy. Don’t they run the plates before getting out the vehicle? It was like he was going to get a warning for the tinted windows, because they guy didn’t even bother to go back to his vehicle to

I kinda get it, when I see the world around us trying to scare us at every turn. Like everything is supposed to be your biggest concern. It’s more ‘marketing’ as a general practice IMO; not necessarily for a good or service either, could be a cause, like “homeless old man spit” awareness (from another commenter-which
