FAK!
I really hope McHale shows up at the restaurant and tells Carmy he has to calm down, he’s acting like a nut.
Either Hollywood finally learned their lesson about giving away all the good jokes in the trailer, or this movie isn’t a comedy. Would not bet on the former.
Especially since the inspiration for the movies was a damn theme park ride with no named characters. That’s a lot of pirates to choose from.
It would be miraculous if they looked at Star Wars insistence on including a Skywalker in every story and said “let’s not do that with Jack Sparrow and PotC”. But, they won’t. They won’t be able to escape the cold comfort of Jack Sparrow as the main draw because it is familiar and execs would rather fail with a known…
Isn’t she one of those “Woody Allen isn’t that bad a guy once you get to know him, he’s easy to work with” types?
I'm stunned by how I think she'd be acting different if the victims were woman not gay men. Which is wild but that's what this seems like..
As things stand, you don’t have to be found guilty of a crime for employers to not want to work with you.
It's crazy considering how recently Stone's been talking about abuse and coercion early in her career. It's like Mia Farrow defending Polanski. The cognitive dissonance is unreal.
Liam Neeson had almost managed to get people to forget about that time he talked about walking down the street trying to beat up black guys with a baseball bat. Don’t drag yourself into the negative spotlight for Kevin Spacey of all people, my dude!
“ generally accepted Western standard of ‘innocent until proven guilty’ however”
I just figured there isn’t much of an audience today for shows with Kevin Spacey in a lead role. No one really wants to watch him, let alone work with him.
Well, he’s been super supportive of JK Rowling this whole time. This is really just a lateral move.
Stephen wtf are you doing.
What’s up with musicals being embarrassed to be musicals?
Assuming it’s a reference to the overpriced grocery store.
Have to give the show credit -- they get their episodes out every year, no drama. Debuted in August 2021, June 2022, August 2023 and now August 2024.
One of the most successful things about the musical is how tight the writing is. From curtain up until down, not a second is wasted, it’s positively breathless. Which isn’t to say it’s rushed, it just adapts the parts that it needs and leaves the rest on the cutting room floor. The two-parter thing really worries me.…
The idea of running the commercial backwards actually makes far more sense, implying that the iPad can be instrumental in any sort of artistic endeavor. Instead of just laying claim to it and destroying the originals.
