Would I watch Mike Milligan and the remaining Kitchen Brother hunting down Xenomorphs for some reason? Yes. Yes I would.

Alien: Earth

It wouldn’t be that out of place as a couple seasons of Fargo.

Like many people I first noticed him on “Hill Street” only to later recognize him on countless reruns of sixties and seventies television. He was one of those seemingly effortless character actors who was great in every role but I think one of his best performances was as the stone-cold hitman in “Point Blank.” The

The picture here had me lost and then I looked at the Deadline article and immediately went, oh, of course. The Excelsior swagger stick captain in Star Trek III, Doogie’s dad, the SWAT LT on Hill Street - all the marks of a great character actor, where you remember the roles and not him.

I’m unsure why the AV Club has decided to make “sneeringly cynical” the standard tone for all articles, but congratulations for a sneering, cynical article about a fun looking TV show.

Yes, I believe Gilliam’s entire rationale was to tell a story from a child’s point-of-view. In fact, the camera is rarely more than four feet off the ground.

the leads may not be Little People, but blink and you miss it later...

I always assumed having the Time Bandits be little people provided the advantage of Kevin being on their level and not physically overshadowed by his fellow adventurers, similar to Elliot and E.T. the following year.

The fact that the cast is not little people does not bug me to much as I think Gilliam only did it to emphasize the surreal dream like atmosphere of his movie. “Little people = surreal” can be seen as a problematic Hollywood trope anyways.

Well, nothing in that trailer made me laugh. However, it did make me want to watch the original again. There’s something “Grimm’s fairytale” about the original that is both a kid adventure and yet too freaky as hell that is not somewhat a kids movie.

i think denzel’s character looks like he represents a lot of the murky political machinations of the time (he also looks like he’s having a fucking blast)

Well, his character from the movie is quite dead.

I want this. I didn’t find the songs of Schmicago to be nearly as pitch perfect and catchy as the first season, but even then .... I want it.

I am so very, very sad we’re not getting this. I am downright inconschmolable

That’s not what The Bear is about.

Joel McHale has had a busy schedule of appearing over Jeremy Allen White’s shoulder throughout the day to scream mean things at him.

In a two point swing state, two points is everything.

He's a real dean-va!
