I thought the prequels made it clear (and one of many things people didn’t like about them) was that the Jedi were like space cops before the Galactic Civil War. At just a few hundred years before the fall of the Republic, I would expect that to still be the status quo for this show.

It would also make more sense as sheriffs are county-level positions.  Or maybe it’d be too confusing? Idk- it really is a bad show title.

Also, show the woman some respect and get better promotional photos because that one up above is literally the first time I’ve ever seen Morena Baccarin not look absurdly stunning.

CBS’s older demographic might revolt if that happened. They are law and justice types*. They believe in punishing criminals. Unless of course, they pay off a pornstar they had sex with, lie about the value of their property, or try to overthrow the country.
