I think the plastic is smart, if it scrapes on a rock it won’t scratch any paint. If a car backs into it, it won’t damage the paint. I had some on my 03 Vibe and miss un-painted plastic sides. Sure it was as faded as sorority girls at a bar on a friday night, but it was damn durable.

I still remember Larry Fitzgerald catching that slant and blowing right through the middle of the Steelers’ defense for 65 yards. There was a 10 second period where the actual thought in my head was “Oh my god the Cardinals are going to win the Super Bowl.”

Yes, Arizona is bad. I grew up in Central Virginia and thought that was the worst. Then I went to Baton Rouge in August. Your winner and champion. Here’s an idea of what it’s like in Louisiana in August: draw yourself a hot bath, then take the thickest heat trapping wool blanket you have and soak it in that bath

If this pundit’s taco-ridden nightmare scenario comes true, this country will be an even better place to get drunk. Just picture being able to brownbag some tallboys and go on a taco-crawl pretty much anywhere.

I’ma vet and I don’t care whether Kaepernick supports me or not. Ditto the NFL. I put on a uniform to defend his right to speak out against the state. I also put it on to protect and defend the rest of the Constitution, including the guarantee of equal protection under the law.

I run Ubuntu (which doesn’t get a lot of respect from linux geeks) on a laptop at home that had a drive fail (I want to use it, but I don’t want to shell out for a new Windows license). I’m aware of the location of the taskbar in that operating system.

I’m not going to bring anyone out of the greys for this, but just so they understand:

I only wish Mr. Kaepernick we as police officers, ostensibly dedicated civil servants, could see the emotional and psychological challenges that our officers citizens in the communities we are entrusted to serve face following a fatal encounter with the worst of our officer representatives, in addition to daily

The flag in and of itself is just a symbol, a symbol that represents The United States of America and nothing more specific than that. It’s easy to paint with a broad stroke and say, “If you disparage the flag, then you’re disparaging *everything* about this country!” Classic straw man.

Conservatives: “This country is so PC no one can speak their mind!”

If you are more upset at Kaepernick protesting police brutality than you were at the police committing it, yeah, you're part of the problem.

But North Cascades NP doesn’t have Going To The Sun Road.

he apparently took at least one punch to the head.

That is the least tempting food item I’ve ever heard described. Throw that crap in the toilet and let Liam wipe the rim with his disgusting sock.

In any other state, San Diego would be the best city, but they have an inferiority complex with both LA and San Francisco. It stretches back to social and cultural relevance, and athletic accomplishment. The truth is people actually born and raised in LA (like myself) and those from the Bay Area, can’t wait to flip

Captain’s Log - Day 2, still floating. Almost hit by a sailboat.

This is Ichiro’s quote from the WSJ piece linked in the article. The dude is way too thoughtful for ESPN.

I let the 16yo try one of my Four Peaks Hop Knot (3 trillion IBUs if any). She was not impressed, and 3 years later she still won’t drink beer. Same deal with Tequila.
