I can’t help but think that the world would be a much better place if self-aggrandizing entertainers would just keep their opinions to themselves. We don’t need them pontificating during award ceremonies which are nothing more than narcissistic, congratulatory circle jerks in the first place. Express your opinions,

“Democratic members emerged furiously angry, yelling about FBI director James Comey and darkly promising the public will hear more later.”

“Dream chap: Shoot dream-like photos and videos by drawing a circle of chap stick on your lens. Just be prepared to clean it off when you’re done.”

Because identity politics is all the rage these days?

“Are you a white woman who did not vote for Donald Trump? Have you been searching for a way to assuage the guilt you may feel after learning white women were largely responsible for sending us all to Boy-Are-We-Fuckedville?”

I see, so you find it perfectly acceptable to generalize everyone that voted for Trump as being a white supremacist. Congratulations, you’ve just generalized a huge number of people that have nothing to do with extremist groups.

Facts, what facts? You came to an article about a Nazi sympathizer that engaged in torture and made direct comparison to Trump and the people that voted for him. There is nothing factual or informed about a comparison like that.

Care to elaborate?

“Morris is by no means the easiest person to understand or sympathize with, but she was clearly someone who lived life on her own terms.”

“Back in 2015, Donald Trump mocked a disabled reporter at a campaign event.”

“In an interview with the New York Times last night about Meryl Streep’s scathing Golden Globes speech”

“Of course it had an effect on the outcome of the election.”

Whether it reeks of consumer waste or not, your description of people who can afford this as “the epitome of douchiness” is merely your opinion.

What would you qualify as flag worthy? Actual instances of racism, or anything you disagree with, thus labeling them racist based on your opinion?

“Jesse Jackson’s statement on this how this is a deplorable hate crime and justice must be served.”

“But anyone who voted for that fascist is OKAY with HIM being a racist, homophobic, sexist, ableist, harassing bigot”

“Race-baiting and outright lies are the business model for many figureheads in the alt-right, and soon, in all likeliness most of them will pretend they never said any of this.”

Care to elaborate on why?

Actually, they probably don’t, seeing that Canada actually has fairly strict immigration laws. One stipulation is that you have to have to be gainfully employed. I’m not sure that being a ‘writer’ for Gizmodo qualifies.

Dear Sophie,
