And I mean, come on, this is a sequel
And I mean, come on, this is a sequel
I’d like to second You. Ernest Cline has never had the ambition to write anything other than consumable content for his own demographic, but You is actual literature.
I’m not generally much for judging other people’s woodwork, but I have to agree, this isn’t a great example. I can see why they used 2x6s or 2x8s if they’re supporting heavy pots, but they either need a brace on the bottom or they need to cut dados for the shelves so they have more support. The bottom shelf is also…
I really want someone to interview his students and ask them what the fuck he teaches in that class. I mean, is Newtonian mechanics also some kind of sinister plot?
Next question: does she take down any robot dinosaurs in this game? If so, Ashley Burch might be getting really unusually typecasted.
Take your star, you beautiful monster
I’m sorry to disappoint you, but that’s just not going to happen.
“Some days, you’ll go through the rain,
Some days, you’ll feed on a tree frog!”
Changes don’t go into effect for three more days!
In fairness, if Doc Brown had traveled from the future to 2011 and told you that Donald Trump was going to become president to get back at Obama for a joke, you would have laughed in his face.
Hand built carriage doors... You don’t see those on garages very often, but when you do, it’s a handsome look.
I’m not sure I’d mind a shoddily-built coffin. It’s not like I’ll have to live with it.
I mean, it does matter if someone was brought here against their will. It especially matters 3 or 4 generations on, after a family’s original culture and history have been wiped away. Assuming a black person a hundred years on decides they’re not going to stay, where are they going? Where do they start looking? I…
Yeah, not every kid turns out fine. I’m glad your kid is thriving, but that’s not every kid out there - there’s a huge body of research that says that early intervention for neuroatypical kids can have a massive difference in how well they cope later in life.
I feel bad that Jason Isaac gets stuck playing villains so often, but he’s SO FUCKING GOOD at it
I think my favorite sort of depiction of that is Frodo, in the Lord of the Rings. After everything that happened, he was incapable of going to back to the life he had before, and winds up leaving with Gandalf and the elves and his uncle to try and find some peace in the Undying Lands. Tolkien did a great job of…
Part of the problem is that the size of the panels is pretty big for most 3D printers, which tend to have around a 200mm to 250mm build area. I think for most people with 3d printers each panel would have to be printed in multiple pieces, which makes the whole thing a lot more difficult.
“There will be weekly Presidential Debates until morale improves”
It looks like Hick was her nickname: Lorena Alice “Hick” Hickok. As for why they seem to be used interchangeably, I’m guessing that’s influenced by the Eleanor Roosevelt’s own written documents.
I mean, that’s exactly what a red lectroid from Planet 10 by way of the 8th dimension would say
