I want to get inside Ellie from Brooklyn’s head. She’s got some hot existential takes - “the basis of our lives is our beliefs” and “People don’t live their lives on an ideological wavelength” - and decides, on September 12th, to call into Mike and the Mad Dog to share them.

Don’t blame us fine, upstanding citizens of the Old Line State that DC was such a shit hole 25 years ago that Jack Kent Cooke was looking to build a stadium pretty much anywhere but the District. Potomac Yards in Alexandria, Loudoun County, Columbia, Bowie, Hell, Baltimore for a while. He looked at basically 1 site in

Russell Westbrook: “I don’t give a fuck about the line.”

What’s up with the Derek Zoolander attire?

Sorry, wait, who the fuck are the Atlanta Hawks?

Yes. This is the good stuff. More of this.

Helpful commentator critique: You are wrong.

I read Deadspin regularly, which means I’m treated to a “har har dong is a funny word” post roughly 60 times per season.

Ugh. Did this get cross-posted on Jezebel or something?

If society wouldn’t be such fucking prudes about “murdering people in cold blood” then he wouldn’t have been in this predicament in the first place! Check mate.

He clearly needed help, and likely never got it. Why? Because he was just a football player.

Your comment makes me angry on so many levels. I think society has failed YOU.

Met the right person down the line? He roomed with Tim Tebow who by all accounts is one of the nicest, most caring people on the damn planet. I think if someone were to have walked into Hernandez’s life and changed it, it sure as hell could have been Tebow.

Society failed him? How so? He went to an elite high school, went to college, made millions of dollars in his early 20s, had as nice of a house as I’ve ever seen in person...he is a horribly fucked up person who made horribly fucked up choices.

In light of the fact that you think that the NBA should call Traveling more often, this inane diatribe actually makes sense now.

Sometimes internet commenters try too hard. This would be one of those times.

I like how you swiftly brush aside the multiple murders and other unknown crimes thing before moving on to the generic mea culpa of society failing Aaron Hernandez. Aaron Hernandez failed Aaron Hernandez. He failed as a human being, as a father, as a member of society. The world is a better place without him.

As a member of society, I speak on our behalf.

Society failed him? Are you fucking kidding me?

Wow, this guy just can’t stop killing people.
