Aren't these helpers just tab/extension processes? High memory usage comes with the territory since each process must have certain common code in order to be properly sandboxed.

I'm not sure if that double entendre was intentional or not, but +1 either way.

While I certainly agree that PC controls are superior for shooters, handheld consoles do well enough to keep the same games enjoyable. The 3DS and Vita do quite well, having inputs that are just as responsive and feel just as nice as console gamepads. The Shield is the most like a console gamepad of the bunch, but the

Touchscreens simply don't cut it for anything more complex than that. First-person games or action games requiring more complex inputs? Forget it.

Except gaming on a phone or tablet sucks hardcore. Having an actual gaming handheld with proper controls is a far nicer experience.

It's even more separated than that — 'pervert[ed]' is simply one of its multiple meanings; it can also be used for simply 'deviant' or 'abnormal' (or in a different context entirely, 'transformation' and 'metamorphosis')

Your response seems so loaded I'm not even certain whether I should respond to it, but here goes.

It certainly can be an issue. It's not a matter of needing to 'catch up' to modern technology; just the fact that every component comes with a cost in terms of PCB space, and the circle pad is the single biggest offender other than the actual screen. The circle pad's housing takes up a rather tremendous amount of

Assuming they can fit it into the console AND still have room on the circuit board for all the other components and traces? maybe. That's kind of the major issue right now.

It's not a hallucination. There are the same number of pixels, but on the larger screen the image is very jagged as each pixel is plainly visible. On the smaller screen, the image is substantially smoother. As an owner of both the OG and XL models, and I can attest to this. I've always wanted a screen that was

So I've looked at my New 3DS and I sure do see enough space for them to have put a second circle pad. Just move those start and select buttons somewhere else!

Patricia: Yeah the face tracking stuff is definitely an improvement, though it can get confused in certain situations. If two people are looking at the 3DS, for example—though I know that's not common. I'm finding that it has to adjust itself often, and to do it, a little red light appears in the front camera for a

Also, I don't believe it does any eye tracking beyond simply discerning where your eyes are on your face perhaps.

The new 3ds does actually do live head tracking. In the 3d test app, it even shows you a little thumbnail representing the current head-tracking view. It can track the location of your head, and even whether you're tilting your head.

What the hell is up with all the prius hate? I drive one, but don't have any of this behavior that people seem so apt to associate with prius drivers. People just automatically assume you're some sort of slow-driving hipster tree-hugger or something when you drive a prius. =/

Chrome is unfortunately the new IE, what with google pushing their own bastardized standards set as much as they possibly can. What's that? No pointer spec? Gee thanks guys. ~_~

That situation applies with basically any foreign media. Though it's still generally best to buy whatever it is regardless, even if it means importing it. In the case of visual novels (which is where much of my attention lies), the vast majority aren't available natively in English and are not planned for English

Okay, fair enough, just getting clarification.

are you suggesting that buying something and then, say, torrenting that same thing you just bought is not piracy? Or that you would never torrent something you just bought out of principle, even if you were only doing it for convenience's sake?

piracy does not imply reselling.
