Yup - it was Lower Merion High School (my cousins are students there). In that case the web cam spying was possible due to "security" software that the district elected to have pre-loaded before distributing the laptops. Their excuse was that the laptops were district property. Pigs.

The Asian-American community remains a great target for racism, I think in part because they're perceived as "successful," so they can't possibly marginalized. Plus, it's "accepted" that Asians are "weird." It's not even questioned among most people that Asia is "exotic."

I think Asians have it the worst in the entertainment industry, and I say this as a black woman. How often do we see Asian characters that are NOT stereotypes? I came here to suggest this. Don't try to fix it, just let it die a miserable death and ruin the careers of everyone it touched.
