I’m old.  I have no idea what a “Machine Gun Kelly” is.

I can comfortably say that virtually zero Ferrari buyers are choosing any of the brand’s models because they are hybrids. If Ferrari were to launch some naturally aspirated, fully analogue rival to a 911 S/T, buyers would be selling whatever appendages and organs they don’t need to operate the car just to get one.

I think this is a case of sample size distorting the data. Ferrari has 6 models, 2 of which are hybrid and they are their volume models.

“In all, it’s a cautionary tale not to forget that the shift to EVs is meant to reduce carbon emissions...”

I think it comes down to the fact that the majority of people buy what they know will work for them and are currently comfortable with, unless the “new thing” has such a massive benefit with very few downsides (eg Walkman, iPhone, etc). For most, that’s a gas vehicle. This is one of the reasons why diesel never was

Radio volume and HVAC temp should be physical knobs. Trying to hit a touch screen when you’re bouncing down a road to adjust that stuff is effing stupid.

I test drove a Y. Was it a good car? Yeah. Would it work for me? Sure. Did I hate evrything in the touchscreen and that made it a very frustrating and potentially dangerous driving situation, at least until you get used to it? Totally. Do i still think having to open the glove box with the screen or voice command is

This past week, I got a Mustang and an Edge as rentals.

Wrong guy. You’re thinking Mohammed bin Salman.

Lewis was my favorite driver from the start of his career until about 2016, when his constant whining about Rosberg as Rosberg was just edging him out in a few races to eventually win the championship (with allegations flying all around that Mercedes was favoring Rosberg because he is German) started to become really

Start a list of what they DO care about.

I’d define 94.7% - 92.1% as “a lot.”

Jalop has been pushing EV’s as hard as the rest of them. The commentariat as well, with what seems very few readers replying with “Hold up a minute” on EV’s. But even Jalopnik can’t ignore what’s happening with the market.

It would be more entertaining if you did this for “How much Bugatti can a Bugatti line worker afford” lol

Without the TT or the R8, it’s unclear what exactly Audi would be selling on Monday after winning on Sunday. Porsche is the better fit within the VW Group anyways.

What the hell? This thing drives worse than a damaged Johnycab.

On the surface, at least, it makes sense.”

The way I read it is Ford would want to remove more 3rd party suppliers and keep their own workers making components. So, there would or could still be a net loss of jobs, just not at Ford, but at suppliers.

You can’t just compare all the jobs in the EV supply chain to the jobs at automakers themselves - you have to do a like-for-like comparison with the overall ICE supply chain, and I suspect the EV chain will have fewer jobs. That’s not even getting into stuff like EV cars potentially being usable for longer, and thus a
