It doesn’t ever end. My parents still get dealer requests to trade in the 1997 Grand Cherokee that they purchased new in 1997 on a new Jeep.

I am the worlds biggest fan of the e36, however this one is pure CP. I purchased a far nicer 328is two years ago for $3000. It wasn’t perfect by any means but is a far better car than this one and has a much more fun engine to boot! Plus it was a factory M-trim model car with the sport suspension and almost every…
An electric JCW I would be all about. Plus it is Mini, they are the kings of customise it your own way. I am willing to bet one can purchase it in their own color scheme.
When I daily drove an e39 M5, the 1 to 6 upshift was a common one. Also the 6 to 3 downshift.
I like how they used drumbeat brakes all around. A very nice touch.
335 hp is great. I had an e39 M5 with 400 hp and always thought it was too much. It couldn’t get the power down to the ground in the first two gears. It was good fun but I found that I really wanted a car that I could rev out and enjoy the power band rather than just push the hyperspace pedal and be to speed in a few…
I would buy a factory restored BMW e36 M3. If I could purchase such a vehicle I would be thrilled.
This is why I drive my Austin Healey Sprite as often as I can in the spring summer and fall. It likes to be driven and runs much better when it does. People love seeing it about, it just makes people happy. I drive mine to work any time I think it isn’t going to rain, and I don’t get too disappointed if it does…
I have a friend with the 3.6L V6 ATS. No driving experience I have had has come closer to my gold standard of driving experiences, the BMW e36, than his ATS. The, only thing I wish that Cadillac had decided to offer the V6 with a stick, I would buy one if they did because the V6 is a gem of an engine. I do agree…
I just wish my Mini with a GP rear window actually had a rear wiper. It gets dirty almost instantly in the winter. Where as my Oldsmobile doesn’t have that problem. Actually the airflow blows the snow off the rear window while driving.
My grandfather has an 85 308GTSi euro model, without cats. In theory it is a 280hp car. It is immensely exilerating to ride in as he slams it through the first three gears. The sounds are epic, the shifts through the gated shifter are deliberate, and you just don’t care about anything else as it looks amazing.
I just push started a car yesterday. The clutch slave cylinder blew on my Austin Healey and we needed to push start it to get it going to make it home.
Yes! I once autocrossed my Oldsmobile 88. There are no excuses.
I take my Sprite normally and feel just as happy to be there as everyone else! An MK2 Sprite is just about the lowest end car there.
A second DS did show up.
Where about was the self driving Uber? I do believe I missed it in the vastness of the event.
If this was your car, I saw you leave the car show on Saturday. You have a wonderful DS. I had the red and white Mini with the checkerboards down the side parked not far from you.
I don’t know the rules exactly but I can definitely confirm that swapping in an LS would be very against the rules. Most of the cars at the PVGP are racers from back in the day. Most of them are running on Alcohol.
The Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix is a fantastic event, I attend every year. The best part of the event is that directly adjacent to the road course is a fantastic vintage car show. It isn’t your typical classic car show with all American muscle cars, the show contains approximately 3000 vintage European and Japanese…
The car I have seen with a real quad exhaust is the e39 M5. There are 4 independent mufflers under the rear of those cars.
Very much agree, the glorious intake noise is one thing I liked so much about the e39 M5 I had. Most older bmws did well in that regard.
