Side side note, nice job leaving out this bit from your more or less copied article from Reuters”

You couldn’t even make it to the second paragraph, huh?

But do you have one about the veal?

Same answer as yesterday’s QOTD: A bicycle
Runner-up: a ride in someone else’s car
2nd Runner-up: borrow whatever car I already have

HA!

The 90's wheelbase is fairly short but you do get some stability assistance with the vehicle and anti-sway is a fairly common addition.

Everything else points to a capable rig even for some long distance towing: curb weight, GVWR, GCVWR, etc.

I would certainly feel more comfortable with the 110, however, and that’s

Same here. Even the Gladiator tops out at only 4,500 pounds. If you’re looking for a comfortable SUV rig to tow a travel trailer or track car (open trailer), this is a compelling choice.

The towing capacity is up to 8,200 pounds

It’s the whistling sound of the turbo paired with the insta-torque when you goose the throttle that gets me.

We just got off a 500 mile round trip with a ~3000 lb camper in Wisconsin and got about 14.5 mpg in 95º heat with the AC cranked and loaded with our family of 4. I’d be comfortable towing something in the 5 - 6 k lb range through mountains with it.

It was very comfortable. The 5000 lb curb weight and big brakes help

My 2011 TDI has a Curt aftermarket kit rated at a slightly lower 7500lbs. We got it specifically for towing our 3000 lb RPod camper with room for an upgrade in the future. Tows very well in comfort with a family of 4.

I bought a 2011 Touareg TDI to tow our 3000 pound camper. It feels like it could pull it up the side of a building, and comfortable to boot. It is recklessly fun to drive fast and the turbo sound makes me giggle sometimes. The V10 must be bonkers if the V6 turbo is this good.

Oof. Service history is good, which is important for a TDI, BUT you can probably find one with something left in the extended emissions warranty for not a whole lot more money. This one ran out almost 70k miles ago and the extended warranty covers a LOT.

20k is okay but not good enough, so this is a really close ND for

HA. I live in the ‘burbs and have been there a few times. Unlike the Weiner’s Circle, Ed Debevic’s food quality is just adding insult to the G-rated insults.

A lot of these design requirements, especially around visibility, deck height/access, and drivetrain should be applied to school buses. The way they’re built now just seems so wasteful and dumb.

I also hope they find a way to pipe the sound of the old LLVs to an exterior speaker because hearing that coming down the

Wait, no they’re also allowed to act in a way that’s runs counter to their actual responsibilities.

To be fair to Erik and the editorial body here, the news may be important but why hide what everyone feels about reporting on it? I appreciate the honesty.

There’s a lot to love here but that center console with the shifter is a massive waste of functional and storage space which is super useful when hauling a family in this thing and will turn off van buyers. Stylish, but dumb in this context.

WAY nicer. It was cool to see the progress over trips through Milwaukee a few weeks apart. The ramps up to overpasses which were removed were straight out of a movie.

That sounds terrifying. I remember stalling out a manual Civic at a busy toll booth when I first learned and immediately panicked with the line of cars behind me.

It sure it pretty up there. I didn’t appreciate it as much as I should haven when I was a kid.

At 15 years old about 20 years ago and I just passed the test to get my permit in the suburbs of Chicago. Our Tahoe was already packed for a trip to the house in Door County. Dad gives me the keys and says “Finally, you’re driving. I can nap.

Fast forward about an hour and change to me death gripping the wheel while
