Former Sears employee here. Hi. Company run by a hedge fund manager just slowly bleeding it dry and draining the employees in the process.

I had the first model year SX-4 Hatch and it was great. Reasonable power, good mileage, 5 speed, selectable AWD (FWD, AWD Auto, 4WD Lock) and as roomy as a car that size could possibly be (I used to regularly haul a drum set or mountain bikes). All for about $11k or $12k, iirc?

Menard’s here in the Midwest is a great chain where you can find tons of obscure hardware in small quantities as well. It’s typically my first, and last, stop.

Eh. Those stickers may help pay for the car and its entry into certain events, so I’m ok with it. If the only way I could get an R8 is to sticker it up, I’d do it.

This is true. With the right maintenance, they are quite robust.

That my $3500 Porsche 944 Turbo car would go from an engine reseal and simple respray to a full rebuild due to previous owners’ “maintenance” and “service” (missing screws, wrong threads tapped in places, manual boost controller bypass, on and on and on)

Yup! It was one of the best days I can remember.

Audi owners too. I just did a day at Autobahn Country Club in Joliet put on by Audi. A4 and Q5 auto crossing all day in 95 degree heat with aircon blasting no sweat. We also went out in RS3s, RS5s, and the R8 on the big track and those things were running ALL DAY with zero issues.

What a great frame from that video.

“THIS IS AMERICA”

Most of Tennessee (Nashville, anyway) is Chicago transplants, so it’s not that far off?

If loving this thing is irrational, then just call me picause I don’t wanna be rational.

The sheer hypocrisy of not being allowed to wear “America’s Hat” in “America’s Hat” is astounding.

Disclaimer: I hate the MAGA hat and everything it stands for (bigotry, hatred, white supremacy...)

Totally. I’d add that “heritage” is the white person’s “ethnic”.

How about now?!

Reverse: I have a 2011 Suzuki Equator (Frontier rebadge) and see no reason whatsoever to get anything else in the segment, even in the new offerings of ‘midsize pickups’ in the Colorado, et. al. - they all get the same gas mileage (that is to say, terrible), same payload capacities, same or lower tow ratings, and are

This is a highly anticipated (by me, at least) album and it does not disappoint. Fine selection.

A co-worker of mine remarked during a discussion about sports (specifically why I don’t want my kids playing hockey despite the fact that I’m a fan and play in a local rec league) about the small number of black players in hockey. She, herself, is black. She asked why I think that is.

Between this kind of behavior

I still feel like a turbo 4 (the 1.5) Honda Ridgeline is a missed opportunity.

I live in a Chicago suburb. Holy hell, do people spend an insane amount of time on their lawns just for them to turn brown in the summer and get torn up by fido. Someone in our yard even poured a bunch of liquid weed control on a parkway to get rid of our creeping charlie and left the empty bottles in our yard as a
