Illinois law is pretty explicit about when you may or may not use your horn.

I don’t consider that honking in anger. That’s a clearly distracted driver and falls under the law (at least in Illinois) of honking in the case of insuring safe operation.

I had a 1992 Geo Tracker, 2WD 5-speed. It was almost unexpectedly fun. Any car that light in the back, on account of the missing back seat and the rust, where you can break the rear end loose in a corner on a wet road doing 20 mph is hella fun.

Big, road trips, seats plenty, no one else has one, boxy, and 4wd? What you want, nay, NEED is an Isuzu Trooper.

Not ALL large corporations are like that. The one I work for still pretends.

+1, I have two sets of the vertical stuff and it’ll never break. Holds tons of weight, too. One of the best investments I’ve made in my home shop.

As many others have pointed out, at this particular interchange it’s probably NOT okay, so my bad. There are times when it IS okay, though, and I assumed this was one of those ‘empty exit just ahead but traffic is backed up’ times (we get those a bunch around Chicago).

Nope, just someone who didn’t do their research and made a wrong assumption about this particular interchange. Carry on!

Thanks for the info and I sit corrected - indeed an asshat move in this case. Wrong assumption on my part.

Hahaha. I feel like that’s exactly what the cop said.

That’s totally fair and I was making the wrong assumption here.

The original author is making assumptions too, his just happened to be right. As many other folks have already noted from their experience at this very exit, this is probably a back-up from the exit and, that being the case, this is not cool on the Kia driver’s part. I sit corrected and am wrong for using too broad a

Yeah, how dare this driver try to shoulder ride 1000 feet to an empty exit both taking one car off an already crowded highway and speeding their transit time! That cop showed them!

I support the ban of ‘moist’. It’s just gross sounding.

Keep a mechanic named Klaus employed?

Price? That’s about it, tho. I currently drive a glorified Frontier, I’d trade it for a unibody version of the same sized truck, tbh.

Counterpoint: No matter how awesome the product, VW does not deserve to have survived the things they did around dieselgate. Coolness does not make up for being assholes. That’s the classic ‘cool kids’ defense. Fuck VW.

P.S. Honda already makes a superior product which will cost less. Based on the market, VW deserves

Concur, do not want.

I’m Polish and I never heard that one. I love it and will adopt it going forward!
