They spent a lot of time and effort trying to make it a bipartisan bill. Between essentially starting with a Republican plan, letting every committee weigh in, and slow playing it to try and get votes, they bent over backwards to try and get Republicans on board.

I just read a report earlier that said Ford is already planning to dig tunnels under the wall to get those cars out of Mexico. That way, they’ll avoid paying that tax because they are smart.

Cars (even police cars/SUVs) in the hottest parts of the US (ie: not Virginia) stay cool in the middle of summer with the hood shut. I’m all for excuses...but they need to be believable.

eh, my 2003 Civic Hybrid ran like a champ till 160K and would have kept going many after that. Honda in their fucking stupidity wired the ‘battery is dead’ warning through the check engine light...so I couldn’t get it officially tested for emissions. Even though the only thing wrong was the damned battery!
