Oh no, I can completely forgive the young checkers having no clue what a shallot is. That's fine, and quite often they've asked me what it's for or what it tastes like, which I find fantastic and kind of sweet, really.

I get it with the younger kids working there. I guess I just have had a level of expectation that a produce department manager would know when they need to pull product because it's rotted.
Ugh, shallots. I use them all the time. Every grocery store in town sells them in bulk. No one in the produce department knows how to tell if they've rotted. I spend way too much time cleaning out the shallot bin of shallots that shouldn't be sold/used because the produce department doesn't know how to.
If you ever do run into Warren - he's very kind and friendly. He'll chat with you for awhile. Just a super nice guy.
Here you go - http://www.irs.gov/Help-&-Resourc…
It's this monstrosity - https://www.runza.com/
That's freakin crazy. I never knew that.
Insert Fry meme about not sure if sarcastic or not here ...
wtf? Just no. Ew. Ranch has its time and place, admittedly, but just no.
Not all Midwesterners. Heh. I won't touch that shit with a 10ft pole. Nor do I cover everything in ranch dressing, eat Runzas like they're made of gold and 5 million other "Midwesterner" stereotypes. Maybe it's because I grew up in Texas & Virginia? No idea. But that shit is gross.
Funny thing about Big Boo - everything she represents exists within the lesbian community. The character amuses me to no end, simply because she's such an honest portrayal of that sector of the community. That woman exists.
It is amusing, I do agree.
Shiba Inu is the breed. Not the dog's name.
And that's exactly my point, which I think you missed. MichFest excludes transwomen. MichFest is run by TERFs, who are transphobic and transexclusionary. That's the problem, the major issue.
Ok, so take this to the very issue. MichFest is a gathering for queer women. Within the umbrella term of "queer," would you not include transwomen? Would you tell a woman like Laverne Cox or Janet Mock that their experience as women is lesser than yours because they happened to be born with a penis? Are you denying…
I 100% agree with you on all points. It's ridiculous, and needs to end.
Get a nice, heavy bottomed large pan, sauerkraut, baby red potatoes and good bratwurst (or whatever wurst you like. i heart weiswurst).
Yes, it's generational. That's basically what it comes down to. TERFs generally come from the generation of feminists that adopted "womyn" to separate themselves from men and hold onto a "womyn born womyn" mentality that focuses inherently on their genitals, with a rejection of gender being performative and societally…
In my experience, men have a sick fascination with lesbians. I've gotten a lot of the "can I watch?" type of bullshit as well as being told I don't look like a lesbian, I'm too pretty to be a lesbian, wouldn't I like to just try it, blah blah blah. I don't fit "lesbian" in their heads, but once I've convinced them…
You know, I totally see your point. I really do. As a lesbian, it pisses me off that my life is essentially fetishized for the pleasure of straight men. As a femme lesbian, I am invisible within the community. I come out on a daily basis.
