You could start by not feeding into him so perfectly with violent protests. This sort of reaction to him coming to a campus isn’t the effect of him gaining national traction, it’s the cause of him gaining national traction.

Counterpoint: trolls thrive on conflict and getting a reaction, and so resorting to violence and/or vandalism as protest is giving him exactly what he wants. The entire scheme is to poke the bear and get people angry enough to provoke physical retaliation, and then say “oh look how violent these ‘tolerant’ leftists

The Neo-Nazi’s got what they wanted. A violent group of leftists “supressing campus free speech.”

The Declaration of Independence clearly states that civil rights are inalienable. So, we can probably safely say that the Constitution was written with this belief in mind (the status of the Founding Fathers as slave owners and not granting women or non-land owners the right to vote notwithstanding).

This attitude has been the chief cause of the death of American democracy. Ours is a failed system because our citizens do not care about civics.

I’m much more concerned about the sanctuary cities than the wall. Yes, the wall is a stupid waste of money and rude, but I don’t see it doing serious damage to the country (I might not know enough about the issue, though).

BUT HER FUCKING EMAILS

So assaulting people is ok if you know who they are? Or just if you disagree with them politically? Explain to me how you are different form a trump supporter?

I don’t wanna be that guy, but this is fucked up. We shouldn’t be cheering violence against anyone regardless of how bad their beliefs are because I guarantee that their side is already chomping at the bit to respond in kind. And I guarantee they are already using this as evidence that we are the violent ones.

I didn’t say we don’t fight. We absolutely fight, and we fight with all our strength.

We are better than them, simply by virtue of being against ethnic cleansing.

On the one hand “talk shit, get hit”.

My job isn’t to defend Gizmodo, which I assume they can do themselves if they want (or whatever, not sure they care if you don’t like this sort of post) but really, aside from this being fairly funny, it does raise a serious issue of public record keeping. Sure, this was innocuous, but he’s tweeted far worse than

You’re missing the big picture. The question they’re posing is, “can Donald Trump delete Tweets now that he’s POTUS?”. It’s not specific to this tweet, but it raises a legitimate question that, at the moment, we don’t have an answer to.

He represents the majority of the country

This is going to get real old for you for the next four years. Better find somewhere else to go.

“Honer” is a fine-grained hard stone that is used to sharpen tools or a person who sharpens blades, knives and swords. Being ‘honered’ means that one has been sharpened by a person using a fine-grained hard stone.

Sure, but they won’t work because he’ll have a typo in them.
