Meh, I'm sure almost everyone has someone out there who would say that about them.

I'll argue that real RG has said things that show a feminist viewpoint (like when he spoke in favour of showing female sexuality in movies when his character in Blue Valentine got bashed for going down on a woman onscreen). I don't think he's labelled himself a feminist but I don't know he necessarily needs to so long

Maybe he mistook the guy for a pap. (Assuming this story isn't wildly overblown, of course.)

We had a case like this here last year: http://news.nationalpost.com/tag/ikea-monkey/

Eh, I have enough rage for both.

I agree that they're not the same, which is where my reservations come from. And I really think that people deserve the chance to choose whether they want to buy GM foods.

Except that, as others have mentioned, selective breeding mixes, well, breeds of a same species whereas genetic modifications mixes species that would not normally combine. So there's a reason to be cautious.

Yeah, I'm more concerned about the environmental and social consequences. (I'm still a little wary of the long-term health effects too, but less.) I also hate that there's no labelling because consumers' ability to make those kinds of choices is a key part of a free market.

They're not exactly the same, but I am opposed to automatic circumcision of male children simply because it's an unnecessary and permanent procedure performed without their consent. Unless, of course, it's for purely medical reasons — and yes, that does happen. It's not like there's a narrow window for circumcision;

That's how I saw it too. I also thought they were supposed to show the difference between the so-called straw feminists — the cliché that everyone hates — and actual feminism, which is closer to what Veronica believes/does. But maybe I'm giving the show too much credit.

I didn't find him swoon-worthy until I saw him in person (nothing special, he just spoke at my J-school). That man is incredibly magnetic.

It's always a good sign when you wonder what smells so good and realize it's you.

I got it as a gift from the boy and was thrilled that he chose so well. Because there was no way I would wear anything super flowery.

Yeah, and you basically set yourself up for the "it was consensual" defence in court. "She didn't struggle!"

No, we do it here, too, assuming you've been there for a while. Interns don't get one, for example.

Hey, I already own this! And this makes me like it even more.

Aw, thanks. I have to admit, the VAG makes me giggle.

I bet she's also offended by the Vancouver Art Gallery's acronym.

I wish! I'm 29 and the latest I can sleep is 9 (and even then, it takes effort because my body jolts awake at 6 a.m.). It sounds like the only downside is that you feel like you should be getting up earlier. Well, the beauty of being a grown-up is that you get to be the boss of you. So sleep in and enjoy it!

I'm definitely on the Nike bandwagon. I had recurrent cramps in my arches and calves in recent years until I switched to Nikes; I'm now on my third pair and I'm not looking back.
