Meh. Do you like your friends? Yes? You're fine.

I feel like "hard truths" should be more along the lines of: You sound very unhappy and I'm worried about you. Or: That's a suspicious bruise and I'm concerned. Or even something lighter, like: That's five times in a row that you've cancelled plans at the last minute and it's rude.

I'm absolutely fine with the whole having-more-guy-friends thing — not that you need my approval. I'm just surprised you associate all those things with female friendships. A lot of my closest girl friends started out as running/workout buddies; we go hiking, camping, paddleboarding, you name it. We're pretty nerdy in

I don't think there's anything wrong with having mostly guy friends. It's only troublesome, in my view, when it's either deliberate (because the person thinks other women aren't worthy of friendship) or held up as some kind of ideal. Friendships that develop in earnest are rarely bad.

Phew. Not just me then.

Having smaller boobs — or even totally average ones — doesn't necessarily save you money in the bra department. I have a fairly small rib cage, and finding something that fits both around and in the cup and lays flat against my breast bone means buying from a specialty (read: more expensive) shop.

I wonder if their evidence is even admissible in court. I mean, was it done in a way that isn't considered entrapment? Etc.

Especially when it comes 50 years later. It's like, really? It took you all this time to come up with this?

There's a lot of that going around, sadly.

To all the apologists: I'm just going to leave this here. http://www.thisisnotaninvitationtorapeme.co.uk/

Me too - except the trailer had way too many fat jokes for my liking. Hoping it's not representative of the whole movie.

Agreed. They're totally ugly-cute. Like pugs and French bulldogs!

I was thinking the same thing! How is she being an "individual" by abdicating all style decisions to her boyfriend? He's basically removed all the fun — and, yes, often tacky — quirks that made her distinctive. I may not always like her style, but at least it's hers.

I know, that's what makes it so irritating. And puzzling, because as a lie, it's pretty easy to disprove.

Yeah, I was being somewhat facetious.

Mostly because she's phrasing it in a way that really, really suggests that's what she's getting. It's beyond just not correcting a false assumption.

Except under AP style, which says only medical doctors can be referred to as Dr. So-and-so. :)

It would be one thing if she had said she went to business program at Harvard and just not corrected anyone who drew the wrong conclusion. But she's actively telling people she went the Harvard Business School, which is basically a branded program with really stringent requirements.

What she meant was that she went to *a* Harvard business school. Kind of like the "Central Park vs a central park" thing in Flight of the Conchords.
