They are super rare. Almost no vehicles come from the factory with them, save for a couple: the Hummer H1 and Mercedes-AMG G63 4x4 Squared (and I guess the 6x6, but that thing is insane).

My daily was a WRX. It spun a bearing at 18k miles or something. No mods. Regular maintenance. Pretty mysterious.

A quick google suggests that modern tires are 60/40 synthetic (petroleum-based)/natural (latex?) rubber. I would hope that they’re replacing the synthetic 60% with this material, not the natural rubber. But I don’t know.

A quick internet search suggests that some 2015 - 2021 Hyundai vehicles (maybe only base models?) lack an immobilizer. It seems that all ‘22 Hyundais have an immo. So both things are true: Lots of Hyundais don’t have immobilizers, but “all new Hyundai vehicles” have one.
