I've never understood the appeal of skin-balloons.

How does the court know that you didn't just mail yourself an unsealed envelope then seal it with whatever contents you want at a later date?

The irony is that at Neil's age, there is no chance in hell he can still even hear the full quality of 44k/16bit.

Well, he did say wider, not more contact area.

Water can get to the bottom half, but a lot of the pressure of the jets is blocked.

They left out the part where it was dug up once before and more was added.

Playing trivial pursuit with thor doesn't seem fair :)

"A geobiologist..."

But this drug isn't designed to make you stop digesting things, it's designed to make you not eat them in the first place.

Those things are very big, each "pillar" is several light years across. Parts of them could move billions of miles and that would be less than a pixel in the image.

Too bad his wife didn't answer the ad.

Yeah, this is more luck than medicine.

You've heard of air traffic control, right?

There aren't any ignition sources thousands of feet in the air.

Water's boiling point is 212F and it evaporates just fine at much lower temps. Dispersing it into a fine mist at hundreds of miles per hour does a pretty good job speeding that up.

And only one piece has to be in the right place...

Dude was high, walking away like it's nothing at all doesn't mean he didn't break some shit when he landed, just means he can't feel it.

The fact that this has not been done is the entire point of the Fermi paradox.

I did not misunderstand, I replied to what you wrote. You said it could be done, and yet there is no sign that it has. This implies that the "it could be done" meant that it could be done already, not 100 billion years from now.

That's nonsense. How do you define "only a little older"? It would have to be the entire age of the universe older to have had time to spam the entire observable universe with probes. It's physically impossible for anything to have crossed the observable universe starting anywhere near "only a little older" than us.
