Mouse pads prevent wear to the desk surface and the mouse. They don't need to be CF, but they aren't obsolete.
Comets and asteroids don't do very well when they hit an atmosphere at those speeds, and Jupiter's atmosphere is very dense. The only possibility of an "impact" that didn't utterly destroy the object would be if one managed to hit at a shallow enough angle to "skip" off the top of the atmosphere.
Equipment doesn't make a good photographer.
I don't know how good the movie will be, but the book was a lot of fun.
This will give you a very nicely trimmed unibrow.
There is a lot of testing to do first.
I was going to comment on cave diving, but at least it would be over faster underwater, once you run out of air. Damn, that would suck being stuck until you starve/dehydrate.
Slow suffocation in a cramped space alongside Rosie O'Donnal.
We have a safe just like this in the office.
I'm familiar with her. She has no evidence that cell phone increase the risk of cancer. She just thinks that we need to study it more since what has been done so far hasn't supported her opinion.
Nope, and I suspect it's nonsense, but would you care to link it?
Cell phone radiation is not harmful.
Between 6 and 19 miles thick, according to wikipedia.
These things make no sense. I don't think the words 'ribbon' or 'cable' are appropriate for something so inflexible. Sure, they don't tangle, that's great. But an actual cable the same length won't tangle either, and it will be flexible.
Impossible? You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Those are some pretty silly assumptions to start with. Most asteroids are much smaller than that one, and found with much more advance warning. And splitting it in two like that movie is not how we'd deal with it.
That one's back only looks straight because it's head and tail are being lifted.
He's certainly lying. He claimed this photo was taken from half a mile away, but it's obvious that it was much closer, like in the 20-30 foot range. You can't misjudge 20 feet for half a mile. The difference in the lighting on the water and the relative sizes of the waves from the bottom of the image towards the…
Easy for who? It flies too high for guns or rpg's to reach it. You'd need long range surface to air missiles or an air force. Last I checked, the taliban has neither.
