a weird joke that didn’t land
This article has some absolutely WILD editorializing about MadTV, New Mutants and Key & Peele all within a few paragraphs.
I’m guessing you didn’t read the article.
Keegan-Michael Key is a national treasure
To sue, you need standing, and it’s difficult to establish standing when there isn’t a pending election. And the judicial branch is rather reluctant to overrule the legislative branch on policy issues. Being an asshole is not unconstitutional. Plus, one third of the Supreme Court are Trump picks.
You apparently have spent so little effort learning about the electoral system to not know the electoral college from the primaries, and yet you’re blaming others for your lack of political voice. Seems to me that having an informed electorate is more important that any electoral college or primary reform.
People loved Alex on the show because he grew into it, but remember that he was wearing ugly sweaters and sounding out rebuses (rebusi?) on Concentration not too long before that. Anyone who said at the time he was the best candidate to host Jeopardy! would probably be lying. So, yeah, the headline is spot on.
It’s weird to me that there’s this expectation that people not pursue opportunities that they want out of some compulsion to appear humble, then act all surprised and fake-flattered when they get it.
I actually felt the same about Stacey Abrams during the election cycle. I thought it was off-putting and arrogant that she would so publicly and actively seek the VP spot.
He’s actively pursuing an opportunity he would like to get... the horror!
Counterpoint: Ken was *absolutely* not the best host so far, he’s actually been my least favorite. Even Oz, who as a person I do not care for at all, was smoother and more at ease and had a better chemistry with the contestants.
God I just love him so much. He’s one of those that basically raised me on the TV and I hope he gets the Jeopardy gig permanently just so he’ll be on the TV every day, like he should be.
People said the same thing about Stacey Abrams campaigning for VP, despite the fact she would have been a bonzer pick for the job.
Hmmm, I wonder why African-Americans get shit for campaigning for high profile jobs their eminently qualified for? What could it be?
I don’t think Jennings was the best or most obvious choice. I thought he was grating and annoying the whole time, maintaining this “I remember being just like you, aw shucks” demeanor for his stint. He did fine with the players but I think he was terrible at controlling the game, which made those six weeks lasted way…
Oh that’s who that is in the picture. I thought it was Alfred Molina and was confused. Alfred Molina might be better.
Kills the flow- you can see them start to get flustered (like assuming they phrased the question wrong) before he confirms/denies.
I feel like I’m one of the few who didn’t like Aaron Rodgers. Seemed like a genuinely nice guy but for some reason his voice and delivery made me want to doze off. And yeah, I’m at the point in my life where I can doze off at 7pm watching Jeopardy.
