I’m surprised the networks haven’t already set all their talent up with home green screens and put the shows together in a virtual set. That’s somewhat what Today has been doing the past couple of weeks, with some of the talent working from home while self-isolating.

I would not have believed this was Madonna if I wasn’t told this was Madonna.  The person in the video doesn’t look 61.  But the person in the video also doesn’t look like Madonna.  Like at all.

I mean... The Office has an episode that presents Jim and Dwight as two very different guys who worked incredibly effectively together when they were on the road, understanding each others’ strengths and weaknesses and using them in conscious cooperation to make their job both mutually rewarding and mutually

Capricious and harsh. The show’s fantastic, go enjoy it.

I think Handlen’s being overly harsh. It’s fine if he doesn’t like it, but his criticisms have basically come down to “it’s not how I would have done it”, “this is too different from classic Trek” and “this is too similar to classic Trek”.

this is both incredibly impressive and really fucking stupid. Just buy a fucking TDI and call it good.

That’s some high-level bodging right there, but only in TX would someone build a behemoth like that for “fuel economy” and “ease of parking”

For the seats, Dad found a virtually new King Ranch leather upholstery set on Craigslist

While I admire the incredible craftmanship and the result certainly looks cool, I can’t help but facepalm about the premise. I mean, it is certainly cool that there are Texans concerned with fuel consumption but that is about the weirdest solution to this problem I can imagine and the 18 mpg result is a total fail.

It’s an amazing build. But mother of God, that’s 320 miles/day based on a 50 week work year. That’s like 4.5-5 hours a day driving in your car. I live and commute in the Los Angeles area and that’s lunacy, even to me.

Sanders is taken very seriously by the party, they’ve worked hard to smother his campaign because he’ll lose a lot of rich people a whole lot of money. And it’s hilarious to think Sanders is the one people ignore when he opens his mouth as Biden spews dementia nonsense then is rushed into hiding by a DNC that can’t

Just a heads up, “Bernie bro” is a myth literally invented by the Clinton campaign to smear him (they literally called news outlets and pitched the term and concept to them), every candidate has again and again been shown to have just as toxic of followers. Most “Bernie bros” are simply people who think poor people

Hey there! Just a friendly reminder that you don't speak for anyone but yourself, and it's not your place to tell anyone else what to do or not to do. Have a great day! :)

JJ Abrams is a cover band.

I’ve read the spoilers to see what’s making the movie sound so bad, and holy motherfucking christ, I’m genuinely pissed off of what choices this movie makes. I mean, this is fully shitting on any of the good the previous two movies did and I’m pretty sure that the new Ghostbusters movie is going to be the same level

I think the whole idea of bringing characters back from the dead is a bad idea that only serves to cheapen death and lower the emotional stakes of every mortal combat that comes after it. The idea that no one is ever really dead makes it hard to emotionally invest in anyone’s survival.

The Palpatine stuff is really, truly terrible.

C+? My 9th grade English teacher would have read this script aloud to the class to shame whatever student had turned it in, and she would have been right to do so. The writing is damnably awful.
