I guess the grass is always greener

Sure. I’m not really talking about me personally, though. People are saying no one will buy the PS1 Classic. I’m saying lots of people will and describing the type of consumer who is likely to buy one.

Stepping stone to, say, a popular network sitcom currently in it’s third season?

Sure. You can drop a hundo on a lark for nostalgia.

Solidarity, brother.

Well, the point is for people like me. I had a PS1 back in the day with piles of games.

The operative word here is “good”. Not great. The best bagels in the world will never be better than merely “good”.

Someone needs to go to the doctor and get that checked out.

Absolutely. I think “best” is overselling it a bit, but I stan for late Dylan all day long.

“I volunteer part-time at the library. My husband is an unemployed shepherd or whatever the fuck.  Our budget is 10 million dollars”.

Reminds me of the time Bob Dylan wrote a song about Alicia Keys:

Lol, I know what you mean, that kills movies for me too. Off the top of my head, I hated the show Rome and Scorsese’s Hugo for the same reason - English actors speaking English with an English accent despite being set in ancient Rome and 1930's Paris respectively. It’s like they’re not even trying.

My mom always said “only hillbillies use the word ‘supper’”. Parts of that side of the family are not too far from hillbilly, so I guess she would know.

I only read A Casual Vacancy, and too me it was not that great. I’m glad to hear the other books are good, I am a Potter fan after all.

Nothing in the second paragraph you wrote refutes the first.

An experience you might have going to college in Appalachia is setting down your beer and picking up someone’s dip-spit bottle instead.

Why indeed.  The plot thickens.

Just a quick story to combine everyone’s two favorite topics - lost bags and tipping.

I’ve considered picking up a Wild Cards book a few times, but every time I do I look at the synopsis of the book/series, and I don’t know how to explain it. I just feel tired. Passing curiosity evaporates into whatever the opposite of enthusiasm is.
