Being in the midwest, this is why my next vehicle investment will be an aluminum F-150. Not because it’s a Ford, but because rust is the #1 truck killer around here. You can’t even go 10 years before your rockers rusting through. Mechanically, there is no reason modern vehicles couldn’t be taken to 250,000 miles

Tom’s job is to facilitate car purchases once a person has decided they want something. He’s not a financial advisor. I fully expect he is the best at getting great deals on new cars. People probably give him a budget and wish list, then he makes it happen.

The vast majority of people that have debt problems are not spending it on toys. Yes, it happens, but it’s not the majority. It’s cars, credit cards, student loans, and medical debt.

He has literally never said not to take a vacation outside the country. Maybe don’t take a vacation if you can’t pay cash for it, but is that the advice you take offense with? That’s broke people logic, but so is paying $2000/month in rent so maybe it’s just a coastal thing.

This might come as a surprise, but it doesn’t matter to Dave if they gave $0 or $5,000 in discounts with 0% financing. He’d give the same response.

Agreed. 95% of his advice is good for everyone. That last 5% is the hard lined advice that only applies to those that are on financial life support.

*sigh* Once again, someone that doesn’t actually know what Dave Ramsey is saying.

Exactly. Dave Ramsey is like a 12 step program for alcoholics. If you are deep in debt, you absolutely should follow his plan to the letter and get your life back.

See, this is absolutely horrible advice. This is the line of thinking that get’s people drowning in debt. You absolutely can make a cheap car work temporarily and work your way up. You can get a 4 year old Fusion for $8,000. For someone that is on the ropes, financially, that is the correct decision rather than

Provide one example of this “retirement plan he gets kickbacks on”.

Yep. This car wasn’t made for us and they will sell thousands of them.

But why though. With a tune, you can get damn near 400hp to the wheels out of the 2.7L EB with just a tune and CAI. I love the sound of a V8 just as much as the next guy, but that is just about the only reason you’d want a V8 these days.

If power is what you’re after, the 2.7L EB has been proven to reach 395hp/450 lb-ft at the wheels with just a tune and 93 octane.

Now playing

100% definitely Ken Block. He’s been promoting the Mach-E from the start.

Don’t forget that juicy Kia warranty. 5 year/60k mile bumper to bumper, 10 year/100k mile powertrain.

I bet the execs over at Jeep are sweating bullets. How far does brand loyalty actually go? Sure, there will always be Jeep die hards that won’t switch, but I think there is a very real chance that anyone looking at a Wrangler as an off-roader will absolutely cross shop with the Bronco. From what we know now, it has

Meanwhile, the Koenigsegg One:1 did 0-186 MPH in 11.922 second five years ago. Why are we talking about Bugatti still?

Dang, I feel like someone just called my wife ugly:

2020 has been a real “when the tide goes out, you see who’s not wearing pants” moment.

White folks have never had a hangman’s knot used against them as psychological warfare. A hangman’s knot has the same connotation as a burning cross or a white pointed hat.
